he did but they interacted again and well they fell in love XD see that after the Halloween chapter where he lost his memory his personality was kinda back to how it was in the beginning where he's kinda indifferent to Mayuri then he slowly (in my perspective) started showing his care and love again~ i mean he didn't even remember he cried before for Mayuri (you know when she was poisoned by Uphil) because he said he hasn't cried over her in chapter 9
