It's like when you read a cliche bl comic, and you know whats gonna happen next, but, you still keep turning the pages and read it.
Haesoo's quote is so.. unique and cliche. It shows how he as a writer knows what lengths the story can go, and his relationship with his brother. He knows it's obvious where his story will go with Taku and Joowon, but he still, even after cutting it off with Joowon, hopes that he will be able to come back to him without hurting Taku's feelings.
Haesoo deep down knows what'll happen, but he's desperately trying hard not to end up as a "B-grade cheap romance novel" is what he thinks of it.
