- nuh uh spoilers and comprehensive rant ahead (not really comprehensive at all)
this was a good and realistic story, i just feel depressed for the ML who recognised MC at a glance (well of course, he knew his title and everything and has been keeping in touch with hendric) whilst MC doesn’t have that advantage. i understand MC’s frustrations with the constant lies from the villagers and that’s what makes this story so good. it tears you apart because you can see why MC was so agonised to the point of not even sparing the ML a glance but he went way too far with the beating. the author did that on purpose but it left a bad taste in my mouth bc it’s so out of MC’s character to actually lash out. he’s been all bark and no bite but you’re saying he bites the moment the actual ML comes??? also the portrayal was heartbreaking HEARTBREAKING. THE PANELS AND THE COMPOSITION.

YES!!!!!!! And please don't!! (I hate the seme in Kiss Me, Liar). The semes will seem like they're from entirely different universes. One sleeps with everything in his sight and is still a dickhead, and one is really mentally ill, so the stories are completely different. They only intertwine when their children meet in one of the side stories of the other one. Otherwise, the seme from the other one will appear, but he's the CEO of the agency I believe, so it's not important to read the other one.

NOT A PROBLEM AT ALL SWEETHEART!!! That is so fair!! There are a few things I forgot to mention ahhh. Keith from the other manhwa hates Josh I think, since they've interacted a few times (he does come up in this story like I mentioned, because I believe he's the CEO of the entertainment company that Chase is making the movie for), and at one point in the novel, they talk about how Keith was marked by an omega that ran away (this is referring to the uke of kiss me, liar, who marked him and ran away) and finally, a few of the side characters like Chase's brother Grayson might have appeared in Kiss me, liar. Overall, if you don't really care about Keith and stuff and don't want a forceful lobotomy from having to read Kiss me, liar, and I think just reading this story will give you enough context. Reading the other story will simply give you some lore on a few side characters (like Keith, who is a major asshole and his secretary uke who appears briefly in this stories' novel), but not the main characters. It would honestly save you half of your brain to not read Keith's whole lore and observe them as side characters for this story. :)
I forgot but there is also a character called Dane who is quite good, but I think he ends up with Grayson who is Chase's brother and is a massive dick, because he caused Chase to be extremely traumatised by saying and doing some horrible shit to him.
and grayson still ended up with the guy that caused his brother trauma??? okay why am i not surprised though.. AND THANK YOU SM FOR ALL THE ADDITIONAL INFO!! i don’t think i’ll undergo a forced lobotomy since the story makes sense on its own so far.. maybe when and if i have enough brain cells to spare, i may try to revisit kiss me, liar

This is what someone else said, that I looked into and confirmed and completely forgot about: Josh is unironically the best character in the story and does show up in KML as the bodyguard that helps MC before he crashes out outside a party. He's the brother of one of the secretaries that work w MC [I forgot that Emma, Josh's sister works with Keith], eventually helping MC escape/set up an abortion app/find a place to lay low after ML put out a bounty on MC. Haven't read the sides (still recovering from reading the main story)

i was actually enjoying this manga so much up to this point and i still would’ve enjoyed it even if ren and mc’s brother were actually lovers in the past but something happened. and then mc and ren ended up falling in love again whilst he was helping out rn. like that trope would’ve been arguably better for ren and mc and more mature instead of mc’s brother just raping ren for ‘mc’s sake’???? pack it up. pack it UP. i literally do not care that mc and ren have liked each other from the beginning and mc’s brother went and ruined it all. that’s so much worse then bc he DID get in between deliberately thinking he was doing a good deed. bro i actually need to rant about this manga ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ
