I feel like the newest season (?) isnt as good as the first. I respect the authors choices and eve should be happy no matter what but i feel like it's losing the energy it had in the beginning. but then again it might be too early to say anything so all I have to do is just wait.

It's still quite far. But the way they banter all the time can be considered flirting from other characters' perspective lol. The moment Ethan realises his feelings he starts to confess all the time and also becomes hella clingy, to the point when you compare it to his behaviour at the start of the story you'd think they're different people entirely. The FL puts off replying to his confession for quite some time but, again, from Nox and other's perspective it's obvious she likes him back.
They do kiss and confirm their feelings to be mutual before the ending, so you'll get to see a satisfactory amount of their relationship (at least, in my opinion).
If you want more spoilers, do tell me! I finished the novel just a while ago so the plot is still fresh in my mind.

But he doesn't really count since he himself doesn't want that kind of relationship with the fl, well it's more complicated than that but I can't really explain because then I'd have to spoil the whole plot.
