Actually when I saw the colored cover of the very last chapter, I realized that no way Shoukichi would be happy with anyone else EXACTLY because Fukusuke would ruin them. Each and every one of them.
That's when it finally dawned on me how creepy and haunting this Fukusuke guy can be.
