if someone skipped the prologue they could’ve not know this was gonna take a turn
besides that, it’s a very short story so it’s easy to read. maybe people hate read? a lot of popular yaoi nowadays has rape it’s pretty unavoidable. i do find that sometimes in the comments people ask beforehand, but not usually for short stories like this because the level of investment isn’t the same.
also the art is undeniably good which is another thing that draws people in. people will read terrible things if the art is attractive.
idk if i don’t like a story i just usually drop it, but because there is a rape element to this people are also expressing their distaste for it.
the thing is the cover itself is enough to tell there its obviously a toxic story, that shouldve been their sign to leave it
judge a book by its cover or not?
