in which chapter was it stated that yeonwoo valued his pride more than his salvation from all this? oh my fucking god this post made me infuriated more than EVER but I'll break it down for you for the sake of the people that are going to come across your bull.
first, yeonwoo is a middle schooler. second, yeonwoo and junhyuk were childhood friends and their codependent relationship started with that. third, yeonwoo is a coddled child due to his weak constitution. endpoint? the only people he ever knew were overprotective people who watched out for him. while these people truly cared for yenwoo, they had a play in everything, junhyuk who went to school with yeonwoo is suffering from this fact, although he took it in another angle (by feeding into their codependence).
the parents' behavior henceforth is a big giveaway that YW and JH never spoke about this to them, but i hold every adult within YW's parameters in this webtoon accountable. the boy was fucking screaming to be saved by his parents IN THEIR HOME. there were many signs. YW is known to be a sweet kid, but they brushed off his little outbursts as YW simply going thru puberty because it was so much easier to think that way. some parents don’t wanna admit their child is mentally unstable. for YW's parents, i guess it would be negligence, they placed too much trust in his relationship with JH. YW might've never opened up about the fact that they don't stick around each other as much.
disc: the parents are nice people to the core, but being a parent is a ridiculously hard job. i hope this gets cleared out in the story.
now, the variables you posited, "police" and "stranger", has got to be one of the dumbest fucking thing you came up with. this is why research is important and freeloaders like you should not be let out of school. did you INTENTIONALLY left out the school's dean? the class adviser? these are full grown adults and had the most access to high authorities. YW and this other dude reached out to them first because even they know this, and what did the bully get? a good old scolding to say they did something. this school dean berated YW for being born with a pretty face and said that having your private part grabbed without his consent is just a 'boys being boys'. without any hand in it, that big glob of flesh is as guilty as the perpetrator, if not more. the school fucking literally accepted a boy who drove someone to commit suicide.
PRESENT TIME - a traumatized person might escape from the place or person physically (school, bully) but the damage has been done! why do you expect YW to suddenly step up and gun it down with the bully all of a sudden? and why would YW have HIS GIRL gun it down with a person he's scared shitless of?
if you still don't get it, let me spell it to you, YW's and every victims out there who couldn't bring themselves to just fuck it were, at one point, tossed to die by their environment (YW's school). you wouldn't be able to grasp the magnitude of how these people drew courage from just that one meeting. i don't know you but god i hate you.
