Hate Mate
Not my type of story telling, but I can deal with that. For the first time since ages, the introduced "couple" doesn't get together and instead ends up parting ways. Im not satisfied with the conclusion because the relationship still looks unstable because of Hyunwoo.
I also feel like there are too many fillers and it has a weak pivotal or important moments because they're not as decisive or as conclusive as I expected them too be. The whole thing is shaky but I suppose that is what makes human human? Im missing the stability it needs to make me feel like 2 years did pass after Subin left. The lines are too blurry on this one
Then again, there's a feeling like some of the fillers were meant to lead to a different ending, like the author was changing their mind along the way. I have nothing against that except that it's better when it doesnt show too much.
A Paramour
frustrating to read. It will build you up then lets go of the conflict because they just run away. As if the author gave up on resolving it. Inconsistent details and is runabout. It gives you an expectation which it doesnt live up to.
Never Understand
For once, I read something that addressed the bullies instead of just blaming the attractive one which the bullies use as an excuse to bully. It was funny, frustrating, and made me furious. But I loved how Jaemin and Yuri's relationship strengthened. Im unsure about how i feel for the archer and the narcissist but i guess theyre supposed to have a happy ending. Also Jumin and the other guy is so cute hahaha. But i cant deny how furious i was when the red read bullied Jumin because of his cowardice. Gah, im glad he apologized and made it that he doesnt hurt Jumin again.
By the way, that girl had it coming to her. She's not even aware of her mistakes so let her be punished for it until she becomes aware of it. That silver haired hyung was let off too easily. I already assumed that he raped Jaemin, and maybe the poor boy is just too mentally strong to get over that but what the fuck? Anyway, he redeemed himself slightly when he settled the aftermath and broke up with Sayeon.
Raising a Bat
the lack of communication occurs 70% of the time and i witnessed agonizing push and pull between the characters. im glad that even when Mingweon was emotionally compromised and ran away, he was anchored by his lover, lover's family, and sister. Most of the characters are problematic but the author does not romanticize them. the author shows just how difficult it is for a relationship to last when there is no communication and trust. and i like that about this. it showed character development, realistic concerns, and growth.
