As always, a very gray area of "philosophizing realities". But i agree w rika's mom, as long as parents guide their kids to have a purposeful and satisfying life then an adult has done well for a blank slate of a child. No one chose to be born, but it's the wisdom of those who lived that molds a world for whether a child could be satisfied living in it or dread to have been thrown into it.
I love how straightforward Hiro's name is. It adds to the more or less ideal pov we want to have to make a better world where being yourself, which do not hurt others, can thrive instead of always conforming to social norms and malicious stereotyping and prejudice.
I cant believe that i actually feel bad for a fictive character but the disrespect for the wholesome feelings William had in the comments. He just wanted to make Finley happy. It wasnt even sexual like yall make it to be ┗( T﹏T )┛
He didnt even realize that it was romantic until THIS life. Like did ya think William the dog wanted to fck him, too???
It made me appreciate the writing a lot more when i reread the whole thing now that it's 113. Esp for the character of the whistle blower. Of course i was already praying that it wouldnt be the classic "bitch" with a sultry face. And im so glad kt wasn't! I love that! I love that even the pretty boy was a true clean character and was a regret of Younggeuk. So many details on the works he has to do as well, which makes their wins more plausible...like it's not an awarded film coming oit of no where for the plot. The stories are really compelling!
Giving his mom a potential husband to offer an opportunity to pour more obsession in his acting is both funny and worth celebrating. Like i know single parents do not have to find another partner and stuff but Jisu is so cute and the new stepdad is a fellow of the same vibe as the mom. Love the bonding yeonggeuk already has with his future sis.
I burst out laughing when he introduced the chaebol asshole role coz I was thinking, holy fck, we're now using his past life to boost the realism on the character HAHAHAHA
Like youd think its heartwarming and all that shit with consent and unconditional love. And it WAS most of the time as i did read the first volumes of the story. But it gets so warped when the babies are born. Consent is nothing but an illusion. Chika, a modern man who i think should at least still have the modern intellect of child development, shows hesitance when his nephew shows interest in his newborn human baby. BUT he is only ever so mildly concerned about them being cousins and even nods to "I'll wait for him to grow up". CHIKA, a modern 40 yr old man regardless of his sex slave trauma who even has the tiniest idea of what consent is, proceeds to let an adult groom his kid(S). This world broke our MC so much that even if he has anger towards being forced, his "all's well that ends well" worldview is magnified to the point to the point of simply accepting everything. The author's pedophilia shines more and more in this 2nd generation. Author lets the mc be so naive that it normalizes everything. But of course, the bottomline is violent rape :)
I saw the link posted in one of the comments but also googled on my own so i read upto vol 3 (which was the 2nd-3rd gen already) plus depending on the translator, the text can be irritatingly polite or more familiarly English with swear words lol. And yes, most of the pedo-grooming-messy interrelationships are 2nd to 3rd volume. Except there are also a lot of "if he wasnt young—"mindset from the bear and lion in vol1 light novel. The manga is just more wholesome compared to the text
I read vol 2 in https://knoxt.space/ai-o-ataeru-kemono-tachi/
Vol 3 in https://blsnacks.wordpress.com/ai-wo-ataeru-kemenotachi/
Did she sell out their landlord because she thought our military man was a cheating husband with a kid? Coz thats the one thing that sort of connects her reasons and actions, now that i think of it more. Is she worried about the baby? So she'd rather their landlord marry a woman and keep away from a family man who might be ruining a baby's life?? Is she projecting herself on the baby who she thinks would be like her, kicked out to some relative and being a caretaker? Like im pretty sure it's mostly the caretaker depression going on which i wished was a lil more highlighted, coz it was so subtle at first... This is like LAYERS to her heart bro, it's when u absolutely make no sense to what your doing coz there was an actually deeper reason...and yeah, it's her forgetting that she is no longer neglected as she has her granny, it's just that her granny's dementia is hitting her more and making her lonely and then pinning it to her parents' neglect coz yknow, she doesn't blame her grandma...she just forgot that despite being forgetful, her granny remembers her dearly.
Yoooo, this author just ignites a lot of mental and emotional olympics — the very thing i love about reading... Coz some things arent so obvious (i mean, duh, but i get spoonfed a lot and my reading brain is rusty now — so it makes me happier when im just provoked to keep thinking abt it regardless if i held embarassingly shallow first impressions HAHAHA)
Not even an smidget of relation to their same sex relationship. If anything, it's the EXACT OPPOSITE. She has unhappy parents, neglects her, and the role for a girl like her was to be a homewrecker between a couple, and one who loves the goddamn child? Disappointing arc esp with the numerous possibilities of build up of "omg, she mightve been a lesbian, one her parents mightve been gay." And ik ik, theyll have this convo about what she said, but it's so narcissistic, even worse than just knowing she was selling their villahe chief like that. Coz it has NOTHING to do with her AT ALL. Like those chapters were wasted on a nobody like her (and maybe the message is indeed that. Nobodies with so big of a self justification will mess w relationships coz theyre so damn bitter with their life) Anyway, vent over
The brewing criticism in my heart lmao. First thought was, " girl, u literally left your grandma w dementia alone to create SO MANY dating profiles for someone else. Wow. Youve just endangered someone who was scammed many times for his kindness and YOUR OWN grandmother because youre so busy being nosy about someone else's relationships instead of your OWN affairs. And NOW you are worried he'd be angry?? How about we also sell you out to men out there huh??"
But anyway, that's just the immediate thought and wanted to vent that out. I'm fine now HAHAHA
Culture wise, they are nobles with stricter gender roles, a heavy responsibility that demands women to be in social circles while men do the rough jobs. Their parents fit that ideology. Their mom is supportive but not 'radical' especially when she learned about Diana's combative skills during a knight duel (didnt even ease her into it, she just watched her kid bolt to the "battlefield"). It was an oversight from Cain compared to when their dad slowly learned about his daughter's behavior with the orphans which made him reflect about their noble's cause. They also didn't do what theyve done now with the maid, meeting her in the middle. Their compromise was to hide her skills until she is old enough to prove to her parents that her choice wasn't a bad thing even as a noble lady. Their parents are very loving and also trying to guide their children (like how they cut Cain's allowance so he doesnt run back to Diana coz he's too clingy). Their mindset is different but it doesn't mean that they are shitty.
Coz why stop thereeeeee AAHHHHHH
