I started this reading out of curiosity because the universe seemed to be quite originale, but realised that not only the autor did created a complete imaginary universe (oriental) but she/he made it a hellish world, where the young boys have to prostitute themselves with old men and "officials" to progress in their "career"... A real Bullshit !! What's the point of studying so hard if you just have to lay down your body on bed and fuck with people ? Fuck !! Another hellish and so unreal universe of yaoi that I can't stand anymore... It bored me at a point that I have to drop the lecturing of this yaoi to save my nerves... Stop at chapter 4 and I have to say that I didn't have the courage to read chapter 5 (just watch rapidly the images was enough...). Besides, additioned to that, if you think that their relationship is pretty fucked up... 2 **
well i do agree with you, this is one boring ass manga. but for "hellish yaoi world" look it's not like they had to have sex with older man all the time, just that one time as initial ceremony. there is a similar stuff around the world, you know. but boring plot and no smexy scenes and uke is bleghr so whatever 2/10

I think ancient Greece was a bit more free compared to other cultures (not very sure). They regard sex between men as something recreational or romantic so I don't think there are any forced/pressured situations like initiation ceremonies and sleeping your way up to the top. Except for the sex slaves (both men and women). Classes other than slave can choose whether they want to have homoerotic affairs or sleep their way up; just like in modern society.
