This was really great! My favorite character is Yarai, of course but Akira is a really great male lead too.The ending was a bit pack punched with info but I still have so many questions!
[Warning Spoilers!]
1. why would you create an island with extinct animals, especially the dangerous ones!? (have they never seen/read Jurassic Park)
2. What happened to Kou-chan? I'm sure he'd stay on the island because of his guilt for being a murderer now, but do they even now he was alive?
3. What about that Hades guy? Who was he? How did he seem to always be one step ahead? Did he survive?
4. Did the real Miina ever get her memories back?
5. How did the plane get them to the island like 50 yrs in the future!?
Literally I feel the exact same way about everything you just said. This is the second time I've read this manga and I have a totally new love for the story and all of its characters and their relationships especially with Zaji and his death ( I totally cried) , the overall "Power of Friendship" , and the blossoming love between our faves( I'm routing for Yarai x Kurusu, I just love them together).
I do feel like they could have done more with the ending though. I mean you throw this huge time-traveling plot twist at us and then skip a few years and just move on. Like Mariya said, the world as of now could be very different from the one they left and then not only that, but, they got there sure...BUT HOW DO THEY GET BACK?!?!?!?!?
Oh man, I really wish Zaji hadn't died (I also cried). If you read 'Deathtopia' by the same mangaka there's a lot of cameos of characters from Cage of Eden. The Flight Attendant lady marries the Chemistry Teacher, and it made me sad for Zaji all over again.

I don't know if these cameos are supposed to be like an alternate universe, reincarnation or maybe just a fun way to re-use characters, but Tooru plays a pretty big role in Deathtopia so it was bittersweet seeing him 'alive'.

WOW! I kind of have a headache from the MindF*@k this was. I felt like someone was messing with my mind the whole time until the 'truth' is revealed from the backstory chapters. It's really sad how Law's family treated him and so he grew into someone with serious dependency issues. I hope they can both live happily together.
So I thought the art/cover looked cute and decided to read this. Then I was like, this is such a cute ship...what's the anime about.
