It’s definitely his lion, all the circus props are in the background throughout the chapter and the silhouette is huge to be a person. Also... godt damn is he fine

    I hypothesize that the lion is actually someone who Baal is very close to, hemce the flashbacks, and they are slwoly dying and the only way for him to keep them alive is to keep them in the lion form and he needs Hyans blood to resurrect them, basically! But its only a wild fan theory of this humble fan(▰˘◡˘▰)
