Dojae is so similar to me in so many ways (I can relate better to others but I also kinda trained myself to be able to) but fr this manga did SOOOOOOO GOOD on the autism representation. The only complaint I have is the "I don't feel emotions bit" we do feel emotions, usually stronger than other people too, as is shown by dojaes obsession and how he gets physically ill when he feels negative emotions (same bestie same). It just doesn't manifest how other people expect and we're more selective on where we put them. Also the calling a third party bit was So fucking real. I swear this author experienced this shit first hand because it's SO REALISTIC AHHHHH
Dumbass story ngl. If i could give 0 stars I would. Like oh look the 400 year old grooming and manipulating a child to submit to them. Yall know damn well if it was an angry vengeful man grooming a 14 year old girl yall would fucking lose it. And then I thought, well let's see her big revenge! She's been so hurt you know? She then proceeds to not care for anyone but herself unless it suits the story!
The children in the orphanage get a free pass but the children killed in her senseless wars? Well! Out of sight out of mind! And why have those wars again? Oh yeah! No reason. She punishes the common people instead of the people who actually hurt her because that makes so much sense! And that's her whole big thing right? She's so smart and sensible and she knows exactly what she's doing all the time :) oh wait...
she raised that groomed child to obsess over her and care for nothing but her and saw how manic he could get over her, and then thought: Teehee! If I leave he won't care :D because that makes sense. Instead of some voodoo cults words which she had absolutely no reason to believe "huh I never wanted to kill him or any of the children with fragments or the group I'm hanging with, but hey! If these people I barely know say it must be true than it must be!" But yeah no let's choose the route that's almost guaranteed to ruin my plans the most and the person I "love" while I'm at it too. Dumb. Ass. Story.
It's like Stockholm syndrome. He was kind of captured by her at very early age. She was always with him and it gave him feeling of security and "home". And when she suddenly left him ,he was shaken and try to settle his emptiness with the fake "love".
I wish I was wrong but let's be honest how many times did she smile young him or be effectionate towards him? She just used him . And when he claimed his "love" towards her she suddenly start to look him at different light.
Anyway disappointing story for me even though it had so much potential
Phew...What a breath of fresh air~~ ߹ㅁ߹)♡ I'm glad I didn't have to write this cause it wou'd've been longer!!
I completely agree with ya 1000%
Some people in comments say its not grooming but I beg to fucking differ and I'm speaking from ACTUALLY FUCKING EXPERIENCE. This shit is absolutely grooming. Took me years of pyschiatric therapy to be convinced and accept that what I went through WAS indeed grooming (BECAUSE STOCKHOLM SYNDROME IS A FUCKING THING AND IT IS THE MOST TEDIOUS FUCKING THING TO UNTHINK ABOUT THE ONLY SINGULAR FIGURE THAT CONTROLLED THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR LIFE LIKE THEY AREN'T THE MOST DISGUST AND MANIPULATIVE FUCKING MOSTER TO EXIST)
Yes some people can't see woman as possible creeps because society has GROOMED its citizens into believing one SINGULAR way of thinking that men are the only perpetrators that can commit heinous crimez. Woman can too. It just is what it iz. TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT.
(And before anyone comments "chill its ain't that serious" phew. You're disgusting because you've either groomed someone, think its okay because you WANT TO TRY IT, or you've watched it happen and got some sick and twisted pleasure from witnessing it. I rest my case)
I cant describe it but both partners pissed me off. I didn't like the way they treated their black haired partners and it just left a bad taste in my mouth, idk
just reread this one and although my feelings aren't that intense, i also kinda didn't like how kitagawa and tomita were treated. i believe i wrote a whole essay here for kitagawa before
and what i dislike is how although the manga does say the fault is from either sides, it seems like the progression is way too focused on making it seem like it's mostly the black haired guys' faults - which it isn't the case at all.
i love saito and tomita together but a huge part of me thinks that tahara would be a perfect fit for someone like tomita though i guess their dynamic mainly comes off as friends
"Hey it's the short guy from the restroom with the tiny cock"
Is the FUNNIEST shit I've read all month
