Seeing as a reasonable decision was made by Levi (especially at Erwin's last request), I can't complain. It's very sad but we'll get over it.
I'm more upset that we will be continuing to see more of Eren and Mikasa's annoying, immature personalities with no character growth. The worst manga one could read is one where you actually wish that the main characters (aka Mikasa and Eren) die off.
Sigh. I hope the basement is as riveting a discovery as the story has made it seemed to take my mind off this depressing development.
Yeas, I see that now and these 2 behaving annoying is way worse that Erwin' death (っ°Д °;)っ
You don't see Connie and Jean (hell, even Armin will use his brain before he even stepped into full retard mode) acting like Eren and Mikasa do. Yeah, they (Connie and Jean) had their moments where they nearly could not cope with the loss that they ALL suffered but, you know what, they did. And they grew because of it. They are in a situation where they can't afford to "be teenagers" and if the experiences they had so far did not shake them out of their bullsh*t, I'm afraid nothing will. Frankly, Mikasa and Eren don't seem to give a crap about anyone else except keeping their little threesome alive. Being teenagers is a poor excuse for how they act because a lot of their fellow companions are teenagers too...

Actually,,, someone in tumblr posted about when erwin lost consciousness after his arm bitten by titan.
The other soldiers rushed to save him.
The children (E & A) only stand there, not doing a thing.
Well here some probability that i could think:
1. They're too panic to do a thing, or
2. They don't have enough attachment to erwin to react the way the other soldiers react (sound heartless, but it's probably because they haven't joined the military for long enough periode).
3. Eren (i don't that way about armin) don't put his loyalty to the military.
I don't know which one that true...
Damn, this is the first time I actually cried on the first chapter of a twisted yaoi manga. It's almost on par with Harada's works. I feel so sad that Iouri fell in love with a twisted, sadistic, cold-hearted bastard like Adam. There is nothing (and there will never be) anything pure about this love. And even though I know I will damn well hate the ending of this story, I can't resist reading it anyway. ┗( T﹏T )┛
I'm in no way dissatisfied with the plot but sometimes I wish stories with this theme can go a little deeper instead of the common 'straight guy meets up past friend/acquaintance who happens to be gay and suddenly starts having thoughts about having sexy times with him'.
I know what you mean. I wish they showed the "straight guy" having at least some thoughts about men before meeting the old friend that would at least hint that he's open about it.
F**k! All these guys are useless. Like come on! They just allowed all their sacrifices to go up in flames. Not one titan dead but almost all of the survey corps are little more than stains on the ground! Ok beast titan got away. But geez, letting Reiner get taken away too was something that could have been prevented. The outside titans were fundamentally responsible for all the deaths inside the wall. Hanji should have stuck with her decision to just kill him. They were in no safe situation to plan to take Reiner in and experiment with him to find answers and shit. It should have been get answers out of him and if not then kill him. Now he's gonna heal back up and still be a threat. I'm so pissed.
With all the crap going down now, it's quite clear how immature and hypocritical Eren and Mikasa are. Have they forgotten how many people gave their lives up and were sacrificed for Eren's uselessness in most situations? Now suddenly someone close to Eren is close to death and he feels as though he has the RIGHT to have Levi bring Armin back. So all the people who died weren't sons, fathers, brothers, friends to someone else? They went into the military knowing that they could die someday. Their goal should be to make decisions that would be for the greater good- for humanity; the bigger picture. But they are like spoilt brats, going to fight down a SUPERIOR's decision, even attack him. That's right, fight with your allies. At this point, I don't think I will care if everyone dies... Well, once Levi stays alive.
As for who should be given the titan formula, I'm leaning towards Erwin. Right now, I can''t see who will lead the Survey Corps now and they clearly need someone to give out orders. Levi and Hanji don't fit the criterion for being the leader in the long run. Armin was the brains but did not have much leadership qualities (not that someone cannot come in from the outside and take's Erwin's place). Besides, maybe having Armin die will give Eren some character growth so that he would not be so useless every damn time -_-
by "under his belt" do you mean he should become a titan shifter, or that he has killed a titan shifter?
I agree with most of what you've said.
I think they (Isayama) are keeping Reiner & co. alive because they represent a way for one of the good guys to Titanize, which sort of makes me wonder if the Titans don't have a point in thinking that all humans need to get lost or dead, leaving only good-guy Titan shifters to run things.
Meh... I'm not as enthusiastic about this manga as I want to be. (The art is really pretty to look at which is a major factor to why I'm still reading this)
Right now, I'm not complaining too much. A promiscuous uke and a somewhat perverted seme is fine. They have both agreed to stay in the boundaries of being sex-friends. But as with themes similar, shit is going to hit the fan soon. I just hope it doesn't turn into those typical half-ass plots where the uke sleeps around with a ton of other guys because he is afraid to fall in love then suddenly realizes that the guy for him was in front of him all along.... -.-
Gosh, let's be optimistic.
One thing I always hope to see (but never do, sadly) is the seme finally waking up to smell the coffee. A partner who has an extreme disinclination to be in a serious relationship is bad news all around and is good only for the sex-friend bracket. Once things start getting serious on the seme's part and the uke is still the same loose way, it's time to let him go. Relationships like those are never healthy. And, oddly enough, I always think about the actual health aspect that goes along with these promiscuous ukes (because a lot of times, they do it raw). Well, that's because I like my manga to be realistic (I do make room for semi-logical as well lol)
For some reason I can't get into the second story. It's cute if you overlook the fact that the romance seems really forced. You have an uke who has just broken up with his girlfriend, thus, emotionally fragile and a seme who comes around and frankly, takes advantage of a drunk person, forcefully entering the uke's life. It doesn't help that the uke is weak-willed and slightly naive. The seme doesn't come across as cool or anything. Instead he's scary, frivolous and manipulative.
