Why do authors (especially women) make SA and torture their main driving point in their stories? Like isn’t this Boys Love = Gay Love? So why are so many stories about a weak man who is subjected to sexual violence, DV, blackmail, torture, Stockholm syndrome ect? To me that is not what BL is but it makes it seem like that’s what they believe gay love is?
If it was like just to torture men I would understand a little bit more cause men are fkd but like you could write about a woman torturing a man too yk so why specifically are these themes common in BL?
I also think it’s gross how they try to make it seem like being a bottom is a bad thing (lots of men actually enjoy being penetrated especially when taken care of properly like safe sex and comfortable sex and communication)
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but please give me some examples and hopefully factual information as to why they do this.

This question has been answered so many times but people even after people explaining it to me, I still find it disgusting and I really don’t understand.
