I love the story so much and how the characters handle situations. Beware that it is not BL!! I love C though. She's a refreshing character that you dont see a lot. Comedy is *chefs kiss* I will never forget the part where the mc's friend went down the BL rabbit hole and how there was that classic kdrama ending where it ends with music playing and a filter over it. Beautiful. Amazing.
I don't understand why Sangmin doesnt just turn against his father and side with his friend. Hes an adult now and should realize that his father doesn't give a shit about him, and him becoming #1 isnt going to miraculously save whatever bond they had. I highly doubt hes doing it to get recognition from his dad though because he's been treated so poorly so what's the point. Like you're gonna turn against the friend who genuinely liked you??? While siding with your dad that abuses you??? Okay
High society people function different. It's either go big or go home. I think it's an accumulated condition in which he is the unwanted child, in a household that's above the high society, he can't completely cut himself off but he can't he involve either. I think he felt trap from his desire to become friend with jihyun (in high school) but also to satisfy his empty shell with the need to fulfill his role and prove that he can win.
