That was too quick of a solution & wrap-up to the story. Even if there is an up coming volume.
Going from c16 to c17, I think the author just wanted to end this story because it was getting too stupid to follow.
They were rutting so much in 2 pages and then both immediately switch off their libido and all perfectly clothed. The kidnapper's agenda was thrown in as an added side piece, but I wouldn't have cared if he died before giving us his reasons for his actions.

If you look closely, the rank numbers (from 2-7) are disfigured regular numbers.
Rank 1 looks like an s for starter, rank 8 is Asia's eight (八), rank 9-10 start to look like demon.

Agreed! I wished she didn't have to leave immediately after the "marriage" and could have stayed longer with yunling. That was so sad that they are now both aware of what happened but she left right after. bittersweet ending. But i guess yunling is the "most lucky" out of the other main characters cos he got to see his imperial mother again.
