Can I just say, I am so into Maria and the detective, relationship goals!! Twisted relationship goals but still very sweet!! Love me a couple avenging their son together, and they are both so FIIIIIINE!! And Clearly still very in love.
Also about this whole “doomed yaoi” vibes That some commenting, I don’t really feel it, because Honestly I don’t really think he is gay, I don’t think this is about sexuality, I think this is about a clearly deranged person who was born broken, and for whatever reason that we still don’t know he was obsessed with Maria’s son, and I don’t think it would had made any difference if Maria’s son was a daughter instead, he would had probably still been obsessed for the same reason.
Honestly really excited to see why he was so obsessed, it seems they knew each other since they were children which makes the whole thing even more twisted, I wanna see if he is capable of comprehending regret, by the end of this since clearly he misses him.
Also what the actual hell!? He breeds cockroach because it’s “safer”?!?! I really just wanna open his head and see what the heck is in there.

Wow I’m impressed by how unique this story compared to others, so the guy turns out he is probably Aro, which makes some situations he created understandable in some context.
But what wasn’t understandable is that in the end he still lead her on, at some point long before they completed those 6 years, he should had told her that he can’t love her the way she wants him to, maybe then they could had found a solution or at the very least she would have made the decision to move on to find someone who can give her what she wants, instead of wasting 6 years and her finding out in such heartbreaking way.
I remember hearing a story about an asexual wife who didn’t tell her husband that she was asexual because according to her she loved him so much she thought she would be ok with sexual stuff, but eventually she couldn’t take it anymore and she told him, but she didn’t wanna a divorce because she loves him, and she gave him “permission” to sleep with her friend who volunteered, or any other women, but the husband just wasn’t comfortable with this type of relationship, he still loved her and she kept begging him not to leave and it was all just a depressing situation for the both of them to be in, so eventually he ended it, and told his wife that it’s better for them to find people who can give them what they want and need.
I think this whole situation is similar in some aspects no matter how much you claim to love someone, if you hide something like that for them, it’s very selfish of you.
What the actual hell?!?! The desert is that big because Osiris kept trying to make Seth remember almost killing him multiple times?!?
It can’t be that they were actually lovers can it?!
And “remember that Osiris have more then one son”
What the hell does that mean?!?! Is she saying that Anubis will grow as obsessed with him as Osiris or something?!?
I'm exactly thinking the samee ╥﹏╥
Yep, there have been hints all over:
_chapter 35: We are told Osiris secretly expanded the desert to keep Seth close.
_chapter 41: We are shown Osiris is obsessed with "being forgotten" by Seth.
_Chapter 48: When Osiris mistakenly believes Seth's dead, he calls out "God of Creation (...) why have you once again taken from me what's mine??" He's obviously talking about Seth.
_chapter 49: Osiris says he's angry at Seth's "unapologetic and ever fleeting heart", and that single-image flashback of "bald Osiris" hints at a past from before Osiris had his headpiece.
-chapter 144: Horus said he read in Seth's sunconscious about Seth unconsciously being aware about having a past from before he was a god, that he on some level is aware of having forgotten all about.
-If we put this all together, what we get is exactly that: that Osiris and "pre-god" Seth have a past that only Osiris remembers, and that's the reason why when Osiris thought Seth had died, he mumbled that accusation, in chap 48, about the Creation god in chap of "having taken what was his (Seth) twice".
Wow, you're so observant actually, and absolutely right!!
Btw my past self could never imagine sympathising Osiris and somewhat justifying what he'd done for the sake of his love┗( T﹏T )┛
Absolutely, even if it’s true and they were lovers before Seth transforms, he simply have gone too far a long time ago, there Zero sympathy for him.
Wow very observant of you!! It all makes sense, but still disturbing, even if they were lovers there is no denying Osiris is bat shit crazy, he really just see Seth as a possession to be claimed at this point.
Yep, and I might add: I get the feeling that relationship made Seth unhappy even back then. That this might be why, I think, he WANTED to forget Osiris: that when he finally became a god and had the chance to forget, he knowingly and fully took it, embraced the chance to forget, with open arms. My reason for thinking this is that I constantly get the vibe from the stpry that Seth, deep down, just wanted to be free, and find his own talents, and that being with Osiris made him miserable because he always felt Osiris underestimated him, wanted to control him, restrict and confine him (sometimes even with the excuse that it was for his "benefit" or "for his own good").
My biggest clue for thinking all this is what Seth says in chap. 184: "I wanted to stand *beside* Osiris, not behind him," because there's even a silhoutette of Osiris *without* his headpiece (a hint that, maybe Seth had ALWAYS felt this way, even since BEFORE becoming a god). Seth has also said in chaps. 164 and 168 and that back when they were developing Egypt, his task was going to war, and while he hated going, he prefered going away to the battlefield than staying around his siblings. In chap. 173, we see that this is because Osiris SUCKED at dealing with Seth's inferiority complex (Nepththys however, to her own credit, knew how to tease Seth to effectively call him out on it and make him snap out of it... even if I still think Horus is undoubtly the supreme champion of curing Seth's inferiority complex, since he's the only one who knew how to help him not just to snap out of it, but even how to turn it from a negative feeling into a positive one: the hope and ambition to GROW AND BE BETTER).
By the way, that prophecy Horus gave Seth, that "sand will some day become useful"? I think it refers to the discovery of how to make glass (since glass is made mainly out of sand) which, if you think of lenses, eyeglasses, and microscopes, is A VERY IMPORTANT boost to the development of civilization.
Ohhhhhh, this all makes so much sense, and yeah Osiris is love is just possession, he literally want Seth to just set and look pretty, and even if some people are ok with that kinda of love, someone like Seth who is strong willed and ambitious will never ever want to just be a doll for someone.
And yeah it make sense that Seth inferiority complex was born subconsciously from their forgotten past, and whatever happened between them, also yeah even if they were in a relationship Seth probably was unhappy, because again he will never be happy with Osiris and his way of “loving”
Horus Being the supreme champion of pleasing and complimenting Seth, I 100% agree
Exactly: Osiris ultimately wanted power to be able to keep Seth, thinking that if he himself obtained more power then he would be able to control things enough to change them in a way that would finally please Seth and make him happy. However, Seth didn't want him to do that, what he wanted was a lover that would help Seth himself grow stronger and more useful. Nephthys' influence, while making Seth feel "peace", never helped him do that. She always thought of Seth's unhappiness as a childish tantrum, failing to see how it was hid a completely understandable secret wish of Seth's to be better, to be useful in a way that didn't mean killing and taking lives. Horus' prophecy about the future usefulness of sand is testament to how much he ultimately came to understand and validate Seth's unhappiness with being the god of war, and thus how what others saw as Seth's "childish jealous tantrums" at Osiris were actually his burning need to find how to be useful in a "positive way" rather than as the god of war (as he said to kid Anubis in as ealy on as chap. 5: "You want to become a god like me? What gave you that thought? Being the god of war is not a particularly respectful position to be in... (it's a burden)" etc etc. This os why Nephthys, while a good partner for him, is ultimately defeated by Horus: while as god of peace she probably had to the power to settle Seth's "secret unhappiness" and "put it to rest" (as her power is described that way in chap. 1), she could only help Seth "be at peace" and "accept" his lot as the god of war and as a subordinate of the king god, Osiris (an irreplaceable subordinate, yes, but still as subordinate), whereas Horus validated Seth's need to be recognized as useful in his own right.
Again 100%, that’s why Horus is the better match for him
Wait but then how did Osiris remember his pre-God life?
A good theory is that he WAS a god already, while Seth wasn't one yet.
Osiris seems to have also had a growth process where he gradually grew stronger and managed to go from an average god to a super powerful god too, so maybe he WAS a god already, while Seth wasn't one yet.
