Bihwan gonna see memories of minchan's past when the disaster happened, the boss guy approached minchan after grandma's funeral and told him he's going to be his guardian and then the memories stopped there. The next day/night (i forgot) minchan planned to go to the high school (kangsan?) To investigate the curse thingy, minchan heard voices/song? While bihwan didnt hear anything, minchan ran towards the sound and got to the rooftop, on the stairs while bihwan is chasing minchan he saw a black shadowy figure and shoot them with magic(?) And then continue chasing minchan (but the shadowy figure didnt die)
On the rooftop theres a lump of soul balls thingy (that minchan usually eat at the start of the story), minchan went closer and abt to touch it when suddenly it kinda explode and bihwan protected him, the lump grows root thingy attached to minchan's head and he went to slumber, bihwan said its gonna trap the person forever in a dream so he gotta go inside the dream to free minchan. Inside, minchan experienced his true memory of his highschool day which he had forgotten, he had a close friend who can also see ghosts (he lowkey looked like bihwan w/o the dead eye) they go around hunting ghosts thingy, one time minchan chased a ghost that turns out to be quite powerful(?) And fall off a building while being attacked by that thing, bihwan have to go with the rules/script inside the dream so he doesnt get kicked out, he saved minchan from falling and made up a scenario that he doesnt have anywhere to stay and asked minchan to let him stay in the house, which minchan aggreed to. Bihwan observed minchan's daily life inside the dream with the friend who looked like bihwan(we can see his silhouette in chapter 28?), One day the 3 of them planned to eat together, but the friend got beat up by his dad (this part kinda vague) and at the same time minchan and bihwan were talking when suddenly minchan went silent and time went backwards, turns out they were in a time loop. Bihwan started to understand why minchan was mad when he said "youre kim seoho, youre just living in someone else's life", bcs bihwan also experienced "minchan's life" now in the dream. He still couldnt accept to serapate the two, but still it was a character development

Im too lazy to reread cus the story got funny i cant take it seriously, but didnt the mc lost his memories of the 'real life' ? So i get why hes more attached to the novel guy they basically spend his 'whole' life post amnesia together lol
