Rather than happy, I would say it's an open ending. That is to say, no one dies, at least for the main characters. The story has typical plot lines (school's bad kid X nice kid troupe) BUT there is something abt it (which i would say, the maturity of the author's writing) that makes it SOOOO significantly different than any mangas with similar troupe. The maturity im saying here is not abt only sex, the concept and everything abt the manga is just so deep. Like, you are reading a novel. You really should give it a shot and come back to me when u r done :)
