Venomous = Euihyun
Have No Brains = Taeju
idk y theyre surprised
ok so most likely he knows shes in disguise AND hes also in diguise cause hes the blonde kid she saved. so hes the ML
fsr the black nailpolish just seals mo's entire aesthetic after getting close with tian and im living for it
in another fan translation, jian yi says "i do" at the end
let be fr. itd be undeniable simple to hate minseo if he was ugly with a pot belly. like- readers wouldnt even bat an eye
she very clearly is a narcissist who enjoyed toying with chanwoo when he was younger, and consequently enjoyed toying with mc. she gets off feeling superior and stepping on people. her saving mc is nothing amazing now. just goes to show you just cant judge a person by the one good thing they did.
also, this trope of an antagonist constantly being a woman is mysoginistic af. heck- mc's ex (A MAN) wasnt even made to look awful. he kept following her around, driving her home, then the sht he made that crazy girl do was in the shadows. we never got to see him being the psycho he was. the author didnt bother to show it. in the end, he just disappears from the story. crazy girl on the other hand had so many appearances and was made to look like such an awful person, then became the scape goat.
now it looks like this is a whole new arc to the plot and narcisissy is the center of it.
author fcking do better
loved the plot. its been a hot minute since i read shoujo in one sitting; shoujo these days dont interest me as much. plus- i did not expect the story to go that dark creeped me out a bit. however i do wanna point out how absofckinglutely ridiculous they made marie's appearance seem to be.
like- fat?? unattractive because of her glasses?? she literally doesnt look different from before she became a cat and the glasses were a whole ass charm. this trope of bad eyesight making you ugly or "nerdy" is so damn old. apparently this is based on a novel released in 2021. 2021 with that stupid ass trope. and the manga in 2023. godforbid a woman has bad eyesight and is physically healthy?? ironic when the entire story is about loving urself and knowing ur worth. fck no the author clearly has an obsession for beauty tropes
i rest my case
wish they lengthened the time when hoyeon and soyeon were still babies. thats like the peak of the story
junwoo better step up. i absolutely hate it when its the fl that chases the ml cause he has so many girls lining up
lmao what bs short ass chapter and it ends with her being the one chasing him for an explanation. of fcking course
yo just be glad yall reading this for free. the amount of money you wouldve wasted for this slow ass story omfg
that tiny ass tear from the queen while she smiled after thanking mc was fcking ridiculous lmaoo dont tell me theyre gonna glaze over the fact their dumbass daughter watched a 5-year old climb a tall ass ladder to reach a chandelier and only told her to come down when she was already at the top
idk abt u guys but the first season was way better the mystery with the twins was more complex unlike this new one that shows mc is nothing but a boring ass mary sue. what a wasted story
also some underlying key points:
* the kid probably died almost immediately after the fall, so anna was the first one to encounter her corpse the moment she died. somewhere around that time, claire found out but was unable to do anything.
* the king and queen didnt know about the kid's death (let alone her existence) nor did they seem like they knew the corpse was allegedly buried in secret, so anna mustve pulled some ropes.
* i dont doubt all this mess will be addressed in the next chapter. and we should also expect claire to have some kind of affiliation with the wizard and will probably die soon.
a small part of me wished the spoilers weren't real wtaf
this is actually fcking terrifying. i just cant imagine what wouldve happened to mc if yura was a guy. and the possibility that the ex has something to do with it??? oh god. mc needs a damn break all these people who cant leave her tf alone fcking hell
the introduction of the director makes jk seem human. a bit.
