My fault for reading this in one go, cuz i dont get it. The plot twist was too much. Can some kind soul summarise this for a pea brain like me
If i remember it correctly, feel free to correct-
- Nigel thought Inas is being a cruel lover got sick of his manipulation.
- Nigel then regained past memories and it turns out he is the one who started everything, he was the first user and Inas is just an NPC he happened to love.
- His Love for Inas made him twisted after so many regressions making him kill Inas himself not just once but a couple of regressions.
- In one of the last few timelines, Nigel, sick and tired of looking for endings, openly discusses how there are regressions. which somehow influenced the upcoming regressed Inas, so somehow from being an NPC; Inas became a love target ( not sure about this but i know it’s either the change came first or the former is correct)
- Because of the change in Inas, the system? or the god of the world made a deal with Nigel that he can pass the responsibility of completing the different endings to Inas.
- Inas, with his Undying love for Nigel decided to be a User for him.
- With the revelation, Nigel started letting Inas do what he wants, but then sometime later he discovers that Original Nigel is now the god that the world worships and the reason why he became Nigel.
- Original Nigel wished to be away from responsibilities? and the god ( probably the god of the worlds) answered his call in turn he will be the god of the world he lives in. not sure about responsibilities more like he wished something and he did regret it and hated the fact that MC is using his identity. also, He has a brother he wants to save.
- Fast forward, Turns out Both Users were given a gift, One Immortality which is Nigel’s and the Other is time which is Inas’, the World started to crumble because two users are not meant to be in the same world.
- Inas decided to let go of Nigel to return everything to normal.
- Nigel, unable to let Inas go. Were offered by another God, a god of the “worlds”. They made him choose if he wants to remain in the current world he is in to collect points to return to his world and save his sister or go back to Inas, save his sister but the catch is his existence is erased in his real world.
- Nigel chose Inas, He now gets transported back to the world.
My fav. part is the revelation with Inas’ identity tbh , that was a very good twist and it gripped my heart. He loves Nigel so much. tbh i think the current chapter, Nigel’s choice to stay balanced out Inas’ sacrifice and and his cold decision for Inas to bear his pain and to be a user. Like, that is so rewarding for Inas. And yes these are only a few things i managed to catch from the twist after twist after twist.

Personally I had no idea what to feel about the ending LOL. It was both satisfying and unsatisfying from the fact that we don’t get any concrete proof of it being the Dokja we know (with his memories) and I was kind of let down because I was so so so looking forward to the reunion of Dokja and the whole group again :( but after some thought abt it I did think it was quite clever how it brought us as the readers as Dokja (meaning “reader”) but I still wanted a reunion of them all - mostly after all the heart wrenching pain of them trying their hardest and everything to get him back :(
Am replying to the person above me btw, if I reply directly, people will see the spoiler.

Honestly it's the only kind of ending I imagined for ORV. I just don't imagine it having any kind of ending to be honest, I was really satisfied but felt empty because of the sadness I felt by the fact that it's finished.. Though I wished they showed more moments between Kim Dokja and his company. Because I really just wanted them to be happy ;-;. I like that we're not sure of what really happens but it's hinted that he lives, and I'm already fine with that info. For me to be honest, it's the perfect kind of ending to this kind of story :D
novel readers... can you spoil the ending for me? TT
You really want to know the ending of the novel? Alright, I'll tell you

Its open ending actually. Dokja will choose to left Jooghyuk and others, in order to maintain their world. Joonghyuk and others will try so hard to bring him back, but in the end we will not know if he's alive and back to Joonghyuk, or dead and never came back. The next is up to readers, be it we imagine him back or not~
(Sorry for my bad english)
Well the sad and the happy moments are perfectly balanced (and the gay jokes are top-notch lol).
ORV plot emphasized the relationship between author-reader-protagonist. If I remember correctly, there is one part that said "the reader decides the ending" Means that is up to you to believe which ending you want for them. Nevertheless, I think that in the last chapter they give many hints that Kim dokja is back (happy end). But this is just my personal opinion though ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
Currently in chap 28, the ml is soooo annoying:/
