honestly, very realistic circumstances considering their characters & torikai's previous relationship. with yajima being more "hot tempered" & the more "easy-going"/"free" in regards to their relationship, it would surely seem in a negative light for him that torikai didn't trust him. with his emotions probably all over the place, with the admittance from torikai, it's best for him to leave the apartment first, or else it could've gotten bad, especially with torikai's inability to ever say anything properly unless he's able to sort things through first (i'm rambling about this to talk myself into stfu-ing about wanting him to turn back & communicate with torikai immediately)

torikai has a lot of baggage from his past relationship to unpack & communicate with yajima properly, & yajima needs to put in a lot of effort to understand torikai's behaviours (& likely also, the difference between a het & queer relationships in terms of the possibilities of psychological impact on your partner). it can feel dissappointing though, if you think you've put in a lot of efforts but it seems like your partner will always be stuck in the past... idk, but i hope they'll both develop well. their relationship works because it's them & their characters & who they are work well together, but staying in a relationship is very different compared to starting one, so i hope they'll both get proper character developments as they both grow together

god, how many times has lucy went through the "i would sacrifice the world for you!" bit but having to always sacrifice her friends instead i feel bad for her emotional state omg... i mean, sometimes it ends on a happy note instead, but she's went through this bit like 5 times, girlie are you Okay?

also! just binged & finished reading this. ahh, mayhaps it's because i'm a big fan of fairy tail itself, but i'm sooo happy & satisfied with this series
