And the adults' comments towards her were how she was gloomy and in a daze or something. So maybe, it's most likely because of Sylvia's personality and how she's not smart nor confident like her siblings. So even though her looks aren't bad, maybe to them she wasn't as perfect as the others.
But my problem is that she said Sylvia was actually smart and she didn't born gloomy she became gloomy due to all the critizism she received
