His mom did overcome the alcohol problem which is great, I'm happy for her, but the way she overcomed it isn't healthy at all, she's obssessed with maintening her son's "angel" image, to the point where she pushes him to be someone he isn't and I just feel even more sad when I think of him before Yugun, even at home he had to continue to act all happy and perfect.
When in truth he is often suffocating, and what's even sadder is that being with her, his parent who's supposed to be his safe space, might be the most suffocating thing.
Ok so he's having a rut issue right now which is probably messing with his brain so okay, fair, but he was clear headed during the other visits, and he seemed to know Lyle sudden interest in finding a house wasn't his own, so why is he beating around the bush ? Lyle is a cutie potato but he can't pick up on any social cue to save his life, and Ash knows it, so why not being honest and straightforward like he always is so Lyle can understand that and reassure him.

The english translation actually has errors tho, in the novel Ash’s talking to himself when he found out that Lyle wanted to move out, he misunderstood that maybe his words/ actions had caused Karlyle’s discomfort living with him so when Karlyle expressed his interest in finding new houses, Ash respected him. There’s actually another reason but if I say it here, it’d be a spoiler

I'm not sure it's a translation error, maybe just a deviation from the novel, it'd be weird to be this off from the original text when everything else is translated accurately. But also I don't personally think saying he agrees with his decision all the while doing his best to make him stay is respecting him.

She looks like an annoying trope. What was the name of that movie that was making fun of that other movie called she's all that? Where her makeover was basically her taking off her glasses and pulling off her ponytail? I think it was called not another teen movie? It was so dumb but this exactly plays that trope
I'm not saying the idea is pretty, I think the graphism of the panel is pretty, but yea the weird trope where the girl isn't seen as beautiful unless she lets her hair loose and remove her glasses is kinda of tiring. But again, the plot in itself isn't really unique either, so not surprising.
