I only know the way with mangaupdates. You can search for gengre and words. Then you can check mangago. Most of them you can find here. What are you looking for?

Hmm I guess I could do that. It's nothing very specific really. I was on a vampire craze, kinda still am. The only thing being I'm not into yaoi, and because this site has so much yaoi my search results are cluttered with hits I'm not interested in. Being able to exclude genres and include other genres along with the tags would help. For example there are a lot of shoujo with male vampires, but I like ones with female vampires better. So I guess what you suggested would probably be my best bet. Thanks for the tip.

Preferably both, but something along the same lines. Not a huge fan of series where there are two leads, female and male but the female is a total push over.

Try zero no tsukaima. It has ecchi elements but its an ok read
