Cayena gives the sign to Raph to kiss her and they end up making out. Cayenas out of breath and raph keeps going at it ♀ They both confirm their feelings for eachother etc....

I think I read somewhere that crown prince’s mother gets exiled and the crown prince follows her since he can’t abandon her. Dunno if I remembered correctly tho, I haven’t read this since like last year, so I don’t know how the story has gone. Not to mention, it was so long ago when I read spoilers that i don’t remember it well lol

That is what I felt too. She took the angst too far and people already hated Khaol so she had to go with the fan service. But someone said she already wrote the story with Heil x River as the endgame from the start so I just blamed myself for not realizing it on time that it was a love triangle and stayed away when I should have

I still doubt that logic though, cos even the entire summary, epilogue, cover art, etc. never mentioned or even hinted that there was possibly another potential love interest so how can I be blamed for sticking to the character I already loved from day 1?
Besides, I tried to like Heil but I just couldn't. I wouldn’t have even minded another love interest but definitely not him cos he is too self-righteous. Well, the author can write whatever she wants and I can either take it or leave it.

I'm thinking most of Khaol's supporters stopped reading a long time ago so it's just Heil's supporters watching it now.

what I want is for him and his original partner (who is honestly suffering the most) to reincarnate. Just jump in the river and start over.

So true! Cos he truly loved him and that one is even prettier than River. I remember when I first saw his picture. I was so afraid that Khaol wouldn’t forget him and just be with River, and I was right. He finally chose him over River and when he realized he got an empty shell, he started missing River again, what a fool.

He could have just moved on and be happy but now that things have come to this, I think he is better off reincarnating with Kavieri than being a god; but it seems the author wants him to have a bad ending to make her fans happy.

Khoal literally cannot be the god of pain AND be happy. He chooses to be unhappy and powerful and that is all there is to it. He doesn't deserve ANY pity, but you know who does. Kaveri, the suffering side character everyone forgot about. He is basically in a state of constantly dying but can't take that last shuddering breath. He is the one that needs the grand gesture of love and ket go so he can reinfkingcarnate

I understand your point. But as a khaol lover myself and in general too, I think every charcoal deserves pity and a happy ending. Of course it is up to the author to decide what to do, but as a reader I truly wish for Khaol to find happiness somehow. I cannot imagine saying that someone’s doesn’t deserve a happy ending.

Thank you! All I’m saying! They got their ship but still always want to spew hate and vile under any comment that sympathizes with Khaol. How are they any better than him? They can't forgive but they hate him for not forgiving River's ancestors.

Exactly! It changed when he decided he wanted to remain a powerful God more than he wanted to love Kaveri (and forgive so he can move on). It makes me sick that he knew his lover was trapped like that. That’s the whole taboo of the situation rn, he tried to have both power and happiness and it wasn’t possible, so both he and Kaveri continue to suffer.

The reason I will always have some pity for Khoal is because he got fcked by this God system that was never meant to work. I think he forgot human emotions and what it means to love/forgive/let go - just like when River merged with Shuyin. Power just became more important than anything else.
