Naivety is only sweet and understandable as long as it does not hurt others. Even if she was purely made of sugar and nice things, the fact is that her lack of self-awareness got Athy and Claude killed. And she is going the same path again. It's not even a "taking responsability" problem. Her naivity clearly make her insensible to others suffering and selfish both. She could have plaided for Anathasia's case. She could have felt at least a little bad for being the only one to talk with Claude for a while. But she did not. On the contrary, when Athy came back she felt insecure and jealous... I can't help but see her as Ibelin in Miss not so side-kick. She is only this way because she was sheltered and thus lacked growth. She is basically a time bomb ready to explose at a moment notice.

well you're questioning other people's judgments with an attempt to sway people into justifying her or something. that's all. in other cases she has a different personality in the novel. and the fact that her character's generally built to be an antagonist just means it's logical to hate her ╮(￣▽￣)╭
She is indeed naive and does trust others easily and yes that's because she's been sheltered all her life and she's the typical Mc naive and sweet I want her to grow and just want her to have a happy ending I want her character to grow but It's all up to the author you feel me ik she's not that innocent but I still can't help but feel bad for her it's just a feeling..
When I talked about the "same path" I was talking about their first timeline, not the novel (it has already been revealed in the manhwa so no spoilers here). You can be mad all that you want that her ending won't be that happy (even if franckly it will most likely not even be a "bad end") but readers have a lot of reasons to not like her/ not root for her. You can either ignore the comments or try to debunk them. For putting the blame on her, she is definitly guilty for what she did in the first timeline. Currently, in the new timeline, we will have to wait to see what she is going to do. But she is already showing signs that she will turn antagonistic soon so...

It's not the case in the manhwa for the second chance. It was already revealed that Athy's magic was time magic, she brought herself back in the past apparently. For the novel part, she is showing signs of turning antagonistic and we are supposed to be biased because of what she did in the first timeline so...
I too don't understand the hate on Jeanette. It's like people are hating her just so that they can have a character to hate. Like the girl is literally being used, is alone and lonely, and people think she's naive and stupid. She's a child for god's sake and I admire her for being able to live through her loneliness and be optimistic. I truly wish that both Jeanette and Athanasia will get happy endings, and not Athanasia alone

That's what I hated about the novel. The same cliche plot that if one girl is the lead, then the second lead must be a bitch. There's enough girl on girl hate in too many stories, and I was truly disappointed when I read how Jeanette was portrayed. Here's hoping that the author will change the storyline so that Jeanette can be happy too (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
ikr people don't get it. shes meant to be hated because shes an antagonist. the fact that readers actually hate her is a compliment to the story. it just means the author was able to effectively create a character who coerces the exact reactions she/he wanted from the readers. if yall so hung up on jeanette being hated then what about claude? he has more if not all reasons to be hated but why isn't he? because the story's flow diverted us from that. same thing applies to jeanette. get the jizz people
