I don’t know if it’s just me, but I’m around 30 chapters and quite frankly… I don’t like the main seme. I don’t like his personality, he’s annoying and whiney, and clingy, while also not wanting to be with the uke. It’s just annoying. I honestly prefer the side seme better, he’s mature, and forthright, respectful, and has a much better read on the uke. But in typical yaoi manga fashion, I already know the uke is gonna choose his childhood friend, despite him being so childish.
Okay I got a little further and I see the seme has dropped the whole “I’m giving up on you” thing and they’re trying, maybe he’ll be shown in a better light now, but the first chapters did not make him likable at all.

This method that a lot of writers use, where they just out of nowhere destroy the likability of side characters in order to force us to like the ML who they also wrote atrociously, but because the rest have been completely demonized, the ML is the only viable option… that method of writing is so lazy and tired.
