Frustrating.....ಠಗಠ
I don't like the prince at all.... Instead of staying by her side in her worst times, he left.... Making her the target of bullying from her stepmom and stepsister to the point of dying and somehow miraculously she revived by power of god (mc transmigrated).... He is now pestering her?? The guts!!! He even turned a blind eye when she got mocked and bullied upfront...the one he loved already died....
But her she goes doki doki by him hugging her behind... Like, here's a guy trying his all to gain her favor... Deym, my 2nd mL syndrome...
I understood it a little bit differently- he was assigned to go take care of the north, if I remember correctly by the emperor, and there was no other way that he would be able to stay. also, remember, before he left, he visited her, and she told him to leave her alone, because just seeing him made it more difficult. By his characterization, he would’ve been mature enough to give her the time that she needed, but also remember that he would have been around 18 years old at this time.

But he's a prince... He has some authority to reject the emperor that's why he asked her if she wants him to stay and he would if she said yes.... But he didn't.... Just coz she said that, doesn't mean it at all.... She was just confused with all that had happened.... And at that time, he wasn't all that sure about his feelings for her either that's why he went his way.... Then, that aphrodisiac incident happened, and voila! he realized he DID love her.... Which frustrated me a lot...
He knew her since childhood but he couldn't even figure out that she changed to someone else.... Which is a minus....

Make sure she doesn't misunderstand...
I don't even know whose right or wrong...
It's just that, the failed decisions they made came out as a nightmare for all of them....
She's definitely a saintess...
