Okay so this is pretty embarrassing and completly annoying but there is just no hope left in this poor soul of mine... I have lice !! ( ╯TT ДTT)╯`╧╧ I'm an high school girl and I'm so dead if someone discover that somehow ! I can't take this anymore, I'm seriously gonna spray insecticide all over my hair and house if it doesn't stop, I don't care if it kills anyone I JUST WANT IT TO STOP ONCE FOR ALL.
Guys, I know that there's some older people here with kids or something, if you know a way please help me. I never thought that I would have lice ever again, since that I had grow up, but no one is protected from these assholes, be careful.
I hate lice even more than mosquitoes. I'm allergic to mosquitoes. Now I'll go cry of despair.
soak your hair with vinegar and wrap it with plastic for 30min - 1hr.. (the smellier the better! repeat this for several times)
use lice comb (comb your hair in white cloth, then kill them! dont do it like when you using your regular brush, may be some of the lice fall in your shoulders if you do that, thats why you need the white cloth)
there a shampoo for removing lice... but need to use with caution because your skin might be irritated
Again? You've had them before? MMM, From what I know, there is a special hair medicine for lice infected hair. Using insecticide is dangerous if it isn't safe-use for human. I've never had them but my mom told me all of this.
Don't be insulted, I just want to know, where do you live?
Ps: When you're clean, stay away from people who you think might have them because they can jump from people to people, and stay away from place you think you might get them from....
(╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸 Why do lice even freaking exist, from what i read it isn't due to if u watch ur hair or not. It must be painful, since it sucks for blood. Better treat it faster cuz they lay eggs real fast. Eggs would be easier treat than if they turn to adults with all those claws and stuff. ╥﹏╥ No offense, but can I ask when u first time had lice did someone give it to u? Like they didn't tell u beforehand, but afterwards u found out?

I was in a very small elementary school and if one of the child had lice, all the school would catch them too. That's how I had it the first time. Now I'm suspecting someone from the high school to have them and hiding it... Treat yourself god dammit ! I'm an extremly clean person and having lice = being dirty for the other. It's wrong, anyone can catch these jerks, even boys.
Fuck it, I'll just cosplay myself as Saitama ! BLESS THE BALD KING !!!

I've done some research online, lice doesn't jump ! And it's not because you're dirty that you catch them. Actually, they prefere clean hair. Logic, huh ? But still freaking unfair.
I'm french. Btw, you're so god damn lucky for never having them ever.

It's not by cleaning them that you kill lice, sadly. But thanks for the tips ! :D I'm gonna find my vinegar and a white shirt right now.
Don't do anything that can harm yourself or others! Dealing with head lice requires patience. I have never had them before, but it's like treating your pets for fleas. I have three (two cats and one dog), who have fleas right now. On cats especially, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack. My dog has had them at twice before, but my cats for more than ten years have never had them, so it's really stressful for them.
Have a parent/friend/relative/etc. comb through your hair and try to locate eggs and adults. Sometimes it's best to do things manually. This method might require hours but it gets things done. Home remedies would probably work best, such as olive oil, since lice are getting more resistant against medicines.
Look up some other methods online. I've heard that hair dryers work well too. The heat can kill the nits.

Where I lived, lice infection is considered as contagious because you can get lice from other people. Here we said the lice "jump" from one head to another...., Chill friend...., I've never said you're dirty, I know that you could get lice infection clean-headed or not. I'm asking because in my place, lice infection rarely happen in cities with small numbers of park, trees, open spaces, you named it, they happened more often in country side....
My son had lice from kindergarten and they were very persistend. I had to wash all of our bedstuff, put his cuddle toys in the freezer for two weeks and treat his head twice(we used some special anti-lice oil from the pharmacy). The whole kindergarten was cleaned out too. Apparently, they were fighting with lice infestation for months. And it was a clean place. But these little buggers are terrifyingly good at surviving in any remote corner(carpet, matresses etc..). So pay attention to clothes and pillow-cases,too.
That sounds horrible :c I've never expierenced lice before but my friend has and that's why she uses anti-lice shampoo now. I suggest telling your parents and then going to a place that will have a professional remove them for you.

I didn't mean to sond agressive, sorry Σ(っ°Д °;)っ I always thought that lice "jump" too but it do not, at least that's what internet said. But do you know where do they come from in the first place ? Yeah, that's something annoying as well. I've washed everything that I could but there is some duvets that can't be wash... I've left them aside for now a week, can I use them now without any danger to catch lice back ? I've treated myself twice as well (with oil from my kitchen and shampoo from the pharmacy), I'm gonna do it one or two more time to be sure. I've heard that lice can't survive more than 48 hours by themselves, without anymore blood to suck but is it true ? I'm worried about that. Thanks for this helpful reply c:

I told my parents about that, my mother help me treat my head and clothes but since that my lice aren't contagious at all (it's weird but none of my friends or family have any) she doesn't really care that much. Actually, she thought for a while that it was psychologic and that I was scratching my head because of that..... HERM. :c If I manage to stop this once for all, I'll use anti-lice shampoo 'til I die ! Lavender is my new best friend.
The scariest thing about lice that I've heard is from an online girl that have lice since now 4 years...... 4 YEARS ? It's been a month that I'm fighting it and I kinda hoped that they would leave by themselves over time but looks like not. :c I'm crying because of that, it's hell to live with this. ╥﹏╥

Try to stuff the things you can't wash in a plastic bag, seal it and leave it there 14 to 21 days to be really sure - 'cause the eggs can survive for a time span like that and with them not properly erased everything can start all over again. Though I'm not sure, whether they really stick to duvets, as they are not hairy. There's detergent with anti-lice effect, too.

I've heard of people that had lice for years and I'm scared of that :c
I have 3 cats and a dog, I know that fleas are kind of the same deal but I think that lice are worst, it's harder to get rid of them since that they can survive really hard.
My mother help me, once that I understood what was going on on my head, I told her immediatly... I used oil from my kitchen and from the pharmacy as well but I don't think that it's possible to end that up just by hand, even if you pass hours one killing all of them, the nits are stuck on your hair and almost impossible to take off.
I don't have a hair dryers but I've heard that the hot air can kill them as well. I'm ready to buy one if it's what I need.
I would like to ask a hair dresser but I'm scared of having some other customers listening to this or something, even the hair dresser's reaction makes me feel nervous just by thinking of it... it's ridiculous but I'm worried of quite a lot of things... :c

Getting the lice from other people is the most common cause, because they breed very quickly and move to other people after laying eggs quite quickly too..., I don't know about french but in indonesia people who lived near the "nature" (sorry I don't know how to put it better) get infected more often. Also, I think they could move to your bed and pillows, and also carpet (and other things with furry materials).
If you're going to use hair medicine/shampoo to treat your hair, I suggest all your housemates to do the same, they may/may not have been infected but precautions is better.... The reason being : If you managed to get cured but one of your housemates are already infected, in the end you'll get infected again, so it's better if all of you get the same treatment...

You don't have to be ashamed ; and you should tell your parents cause it's very contagious .. the treatment is simple so don't lose time
