while reading this i thought it would be fluff and cuteness, although IT IS fluff and cuteness there was always a lingering feeling of sadness which i couldn’t really explain.. especially during the middle chapters of the story, now that i’m up to the most recent chapters, i feel really heavy especially in my chest. This manhwa is really good and is a must read!! but wow this hurts, my poor babies </3

i’m not sure if i want to read this... i’ve heard it’s about an abusive relationship and i don’t like those types of manhwa. If this is like KS i don’t want to read it hm so can anyone reply and tell me if i should read it? does seungho fall in love with the painter and doesn’t abuse him anymore?...

It’s definitely not like KS. But this manwha does contain themes of violence, murder, rape and abuse. I think of POTN more like a drama rather than a romance because I feel like there’s much more psychological drama happening and so far it’s not centered on a typical yaoi romance plot. By the current chapter the dynamic of the relationship between the MCs does change, where it will go from there is anyone’s guess.
Personally I think it’s a compelling story. I’d say give it a chance and read the maybe first 5 chapters and see how you feel. There’s a lot that happens, so if you can weather that I think you be fine for the rest.

I say just like all the other answers (︶︿︶)=凸 The psychological depth is quite complex and god knows what will happen from chapter to chapter. The seme MC might seem like a psycho or something but he's not. Look carefully at his expressions, his face often says many things he doesn't. The uke is one little, lovely, lost in the old and cruel times creature. Give it a chance.

Thanks for all the answers. I like this manhwa's art. I've read many BL mangas about abuse that I need to take a break from hardcore ones. I am reading too many manga/manhwa during this quarantine. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Did you read Down and Dirty? I don't like Seme (he is a dick. What happened to him in manhwa he deserved it all) but I like Hyungdo's (poor uke, he didn't deserve what happened to him) character, so I've not dropped that manhwa yet.
So how much of an asshole/pschyco is Seungho? If he is similiar to Down&Dirty's Seme, I think I can read it. ( ̄∇ ̄")

Seungho is more normal! He actually cares about Na Kyum as a person but has trouble showing it.
Then, D&D same is just a total freak... I don't like either seme and uke in the end, they finish in the strangest and most toxic relationship ever!
No, this one's just historical, so there's more of that social hierarchy and it determines their lives. Being a lord has its entitlements considering the subjects after all.
I think D&D is worse ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

look if you could read Killing stalking or Down and dirty i think you can read this one ( ̄∇ ̄")and a bonus is that it isnt your typical yaoi regarding the art or plot i personally think you will get hooked lol if you compare this to Down and dirty i think this is way better (i also liked killing stalking but i like this better too......Afterall its fiction so dont take it to heart so much (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

the fact that Junseo doesn’t get a happy ending makes me so sad like, the poor baby has been through so much and you leave him on the edge like that again?? He deserved better. A story of him with the mc would have been better because we would’ve seen him grow and develop, rather than stay sad and uneasy. I feel so bad for him :(
idk i don’t like this... the seme is so possessive and psychotic while the uke is a complete pushover while also being a half psychotic, naive little kid and it just doesn’t yknow ??
