Yeah he's obviously a Sociopath (I don't know the actual definition but I'll just call him this) and he's not behaving this way because of some kind of trauma he can later on heal from. He literally only sees MC as a toy/pet there's no potential for a redemption arc because he doesn't feel bad or remorse
