everyone’s talking about the last 10 ish chaps being rlly sad/they start crying because of it can someone tell me what happened before i start reading so i can mentally prepare myself…spoil all you want !!
ok spoilers ahead!!
I believe the sad part starts when jiwoo and dongchan spend the night in the cabin/storage in the woods, they wake up because the cabin caught the fire, they made it out eventually but jiwoo goes back to retrieve the painting dongchan painted for him, but he can't escape and dongchan can't get to him so he runs for the help, jiwoo is saved later on but also is in bad condition due to a heart disease - that's the angst in this story. Don't wanna ruin the experience for you by adding too much details, but eventually jiwoo leaves and they lose contact untill graduating. Like I said I don't want to spoil everything, but the story ends on a happy note so go for it:)
does anyone want to explain to me what’s going on i feel like i haven’t read it in so long that i’m forgetting the plot…does the guy with the glasses like Doumeki too or am i totally misreading the situation
it's quite hard to follow the yakuza story, but no kageyama (glasses guy) does not like doumeki, in fact, it was doumeki who asks yashiro is he was in love with kageyama at the very beginning of volume 1 after seeing yashiro interact with the doctor one time and hit the nail on the head. after looking at kageyama, yashiro is reminded of
the time when doumeki asked him such stupid questions and read him like a book
This chapter brings a lot of threads together between what happened four years prior and the present. Yashiro and the Doc (glasses guy) are best friends since their school days. Yashiro did like him, romantically, for a long time until he fell in love with Doumeki. Since Yashiro worked so hard to push Doumeki away four years prior to keep him safe, because he would not be able to stand losing him due to the yakuza lifestyle. Doc is concerned for Yashiro, as his friend, when he finds out Doumeki is back in his life. Especially knowing that Yashiro failed to keep him out of the yakuza. On a side note the guy who shows up when they're with the Doc is his boyfriend. They have their own oneshot.
On the yakuza side Yashiro's boss reacts the way he does for the same reason. He had to harshly refuse Doumeki becoming a member of his group, at Yashiro request, and here he finds out he's with a different group. Doumeki's current boss is interested because he can sense there is something deeper going on between Yashiro and Doumeki, one of his best enforcers, other than just being an old underling that had not been fully brought into their group. He basically needs to be sure of Doumeki's loyalty to him and his new crew when shit hits the fan. Which is why he goes to Yashiro's boss asking why he's involving himself by sending Yashiro to look for the missing guy. Their groups are not connected but they do have a cordial understanding with each other. We find out about the hijacked guns and the real reason Yashiro was sent to another groups turf to investigate.
It's convoluted but that plotline simplified is this: Doumeki's boss had an unaffiliated underling who was too ambitious and acted behind his back and also stole from him. So he cuts his face and sends him packing. Said underling, through his brother kidnaps the bosses daughter, who Doumeki saves, which gets Doumeki into the group fully, hence the tattoo. The bad guy is trying to end Doumeki's boss I think because his brother gets killed, I don't fully remember. We don't know yet what his full plan is, so far we find out they hijacked an arms deal Yashiro's boss was undertaking. Which is how Yashiro ends up reuniting with Doumeki.
Now Doumeki and Yashiro are still in love, which is why they can't keep away from each other. Neither of them are voicing their feelings because, you know it's part of the drama, but I'm pretty sure Doumeki is aware of Yashiro's feelings. The problem is that they are in different groups and Doumeki is keenly aware that if he pushes too hard Yashiro will run away. Plus he also has a whole lot of other responsibilities with his chosen family. I think he became a fully affiliated yakuza with another group to stay somewhat connected to Yashiro's world, but it became a fuck you as well to spite him for pushing him away. Which is why he's so harsh with Yashiro in the beginning. It chaged everything once he found out that although Yashiro was still getting used as an onahole he wasn't getting any satisfaction from it (i.e his ED) but he was getting hard for him. What is more romantic than only being able to get hard for you?
Was re-reading BJ Alex today and they basically have the same plot except Jake is totally worse and Dan is much more submissive.
Anyways around chap 33-35/6 of BJ Alex, Alex gets drunk, acts all lovey (to DG’s standards), they have good sex, the next day DG is asked about his feelings to Alex and then lies about how he actually feels.
So if Minghwa chooses to follow the same plot again, what we are gonna see next is Dan confiding in someone and them telling him to choose himself (tbf he kinda got this advice prior by Jake’s ex fling), then they’re gonna have their big fight and then we will finally get Jake’s redemption arc/ Dan’s “I choose myself” arc !!
This is taking too long and I’m kinda past forgiving Jake but let’s see if Minghwa can pull out a random yet sad backstory for him like he did with Alex and get us to forgive him lol.
Yessss finally someone else mentions it, the other day I was saying how I faintly remember smth like this happening in bj Alex, like him being a completely different person when drunk. My only concern is HOW is Dan gonna leave??? He's literally tied down to Jk, theyre literally living together and he is his employee and even if he quits he's till in debt to Jk
Hmmm my guess is no better than yours but I think Jake’s shoulder is gonna get rlly bad (which will be the reason the big fight happens) meaning he can’t box anymore and won’t need to have Dan has his physio as he would probably be checked by doctors. Meaning Dan (after realising he can never get Jake to love him) will sought out other clients and get money from them and then eventually Dan will repay all the debt back, move out, his grandma gonna die for sure and he’s gonna cut all connections with Jake so Jake can do his redemption shit lol. That or he wins the lottery
That's what I was thinking because in BJ Alex Dong-gyun didn't live with Jiwon nor did he owe him anything so he was able to get up and leave when ever he wanted to.....WHICH played a big part in their relationship since the time away made Jiwon realize that he was in love with him. But I can't say the same for Dan since he lives with Jae and he owes him. So that's when we question how the author is going to set up their redemption arc if there's no way to create space for them.
why’s the brother tryna break them up i wanna like him, i hope he has a damn good reason!!
I think he's just strait-laced, you know. Prim and proper.
