Of course that fucked up orphanage and his idolisation would bring him to be a shitty person to the other guy, It's not like he wasn't upfront abt the fact he wouldn't reciprocate the feelings despite clearly wanting to. The dad is actually 10x shittier as a person, his son dies so he fuckign adopts the poor child who caused the death and raises him for years just for the sole reason of revenge, willing to fucking murder this child he's raised if he has to. Nit to mention he's a fully grown man thinking through this shit, not like some unfortunate child who can't think things through like that... a MAN. NOT TO MENTION HE GOES AND FUCKS MC OUT OF FUCKIGN SPITE SO HE CAN MAKE THIS 'REVENGE' OF HIS WORSE ON THE MC WHO CLEARLY NEVER GREW OUT OF THIS CHILDISH STAGE OF LIFE BC OF ALL THE SHIT HE HAD GOING ON. i get that your point of the MCs shitty past but the ending of the story is something he deserves because hes the reason someone’s son died at a very young age when he COULDVE help him. seriously, for the father if u are in his shoes u should get him. his son was killed by another child and an orphan at that where he couldnt just kill him but he had to keep the revenge for his son. the father really loved him because he raised him but he felt very guilty about his son. which is why it brings him to get MCs affection and killed himself so that the MC will get him and his son’s suffering and thats all that. you cant really say its all the father’s fault, he suffered a lot too.
It's easy. People hate only what they see on the surface. They failed to see that actually that Mr Lee was vengeful over his own hurt instead of for his son. If he wanted to get even he could've just killed the mc. But instead he wanted the mc to suffer the way he himself did. He put up a heroic reason for his evil deed and the audience applauded. In my opinion, both deserves to die. They're the same kind.
They were both incredibly selfish people. I'd argue that what they had for each other was never love but obsession. The way mc treated the bullied student made me sick, especially when he knew the HORRORS the poor boy goes through in the orphanage. The father was a twisted individual who obviously needed some sort of help, mental-health wise.
