hands down, i cried. my favorite scene is the one between seiya's wife (akiko?) & masumi and the one between seiya and touma. it just hits home.
the 'confrontation' scene was excellent, with the girls vs. the boys thing which reflects the close minded and the open minded, though i side with the girls i understand the guys as well. and man thats a shit experience that kensuke faced. no one shouldnt have experienced that.
i love all of the characters, well rounded and developed. beautiful. i related to almost all of the characters, being a failure, not knowing what to do, disappointed in my self, not being able to be myself due to misunderstandings etc etc i just felt at home while also being called out at the same time while reading this.
a welcomed feeling
the ending was NOICE. we could see that there was progress with themselves. masumi is much more expressive, futaba seems more comfortable eith herself, taichi seems to be at his best next to touma and though we didn't see touma at all at the end, the comments and conversation between him and the others shows that he is more comfortable with himself (see convo between him and masumi's husband). ah wonderful wonderful
if youre reading this comment contemplating whether or not you should read this, you should! its art, story snd characters are well done and you'll feel good by the end (maybe cry a lil, good tears).
thank you for reading (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
ngl i read the comment that merry was weak and j was kinda feeling eh, with the slow buildup in the beginning i almost dropped it.
but thankfully i didnt, definitely one of my faves of the year.
merry was an amazing character; headstrong, innocent and charming. he wasnt a meek uke like he looked like, he knew consequences and stood up for himself. he knows his boundaries and pushes it at times, which is wonderful.
suho or sooho however you wanna write it was a good guy. i get his reasonings, he feels that merry wouldnt want him due to the truth about merrys fathers death because his mother is like that towards him. he got them layers of trauma ya know? almost thot he was boutta snap on merry, but he didnt?? amazing. prob because he learnt to surpress everything when he was studying abroad, which is...kinda sad. he looked pretty young, 13-15? damn
maria, the mother of suho. you lil piece of shit (ahahaha). no lie, felt like slapping her face every time. the purple eyeliner and her cheekbones make me GRRRR, ya know? so yeah
gina best yaoi female character, of all time. also the girl dori/ suho saved in the club and soohyuk (doris childhood friend)? supporting charas who arent just jealous exes (doris cf almost but she didnt at the end), are actually supportive and give the story some plot advancements.
i love the side characters . dori, chef kim and doris brother soonho? adorable. especially the scene where the four of them drank together www.
wished we could have gotten a longer epilogue, wanted the details about everyones life. especially anemone and robins. that was a pretty sad ending for them ngl. so yeah i wish them all the best. imma believe that robin's alive, hes just in a coma.
you should read it!!!
AGHHHH i love this story so much. as the scanlator said, the author is prob new but this is really well done! the characters are interesting and the art is SUPERBBBBB. i guess to make themselves more marketable in the future smut is the way to go. and thank fully it wasnt just some assault turned romantic situation (close one ngl).
i do want to know more about alya's and kenneth's back story, especially how ken got his magic and the rivalry between alya and bru. i also wanna know more about his servant aaahhhhh
so much potential, but enjoyed it nonetheless. excited for future stories from the author!
bru's hot ngl hahahaha
mind you the last panel was from a different day. how? the clothez the uke is wearing. during the confrontation day he was wearing a white jacket+motif shirt, thus he would not be able to wear an all black ensemble if it was taken it the same day.
the friend was using a turtle neck and the blondie was using a coat with fur lining and the tall guy in the last panel was using neither.
thus we would conclude with the height difference and the hair color, which makes it obvious that it is the blondie.
now my opinion on the series. ngl both are shit, as the girls said theyre both trash (well said). even if it is harada's work we cant let go that what they did was fucked up. the friend wanting to "train" him and own him (typical harada seme behavior) and the blondie agreeing with the absurd request. i would like to say that the blondie at least had redeeming qualities since he decided to pursue him seriously.
not only that but even if the friend won, the MC wouldnt be treated nice or right. the friend didnt even _bother_ to get the MC, he only lamented and STAYED in the bar. he didnt intend to catch the MC to clear his name or give excuse.
Blondie is still shit because he probably wouldnt have told the MC about the request had he wasnt caught with the friend.
wont say much about the MC, pretty entertaining. kinda childish but he has feelings and wasnt fully dumb, which im glad.
tbh this was one of the more milder stories, even in terms of yaoi so i would say a 7/10 because of the art and the MC.
╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ thx for reading, kir
its satisfying to say the least, however there are some things that im probably being nitpicky about buttttt....
i hate namjoon, not just because of his villainous bullshit but also because of how stupid he is. he literally said it himself, it was easy to scam small companies but needed JooIn to deal with the big one. if Jooin involvement didnt work out, could his team handle it??? i dont think so. *sigh* so dissappointing.
another thing is the frequency of sex? never in my life would i complain about the abundance of sex scene but i feel that sexual intercourse (like in alot of BLs) is used to settle an argument. thankfully (most of the time at least) they solved the issue first, but they would be talking while having hands within each others clothing lolol (this may seem hypocritical because my previous comments was about a couple who did thisexact same thing, but that only happened once and after they thoroughly talked things through).
Hyunbin (?) was aight, very basic cant complain. Joohee was nice, i just wished Jooin and her would communicate about her possessiveness, because i feel like thats a strong point for story telling.
wanna know more about jooheon and his deer, theyre cute. wished they talked more, jooheon backstory seems intriguing (its probably the usual rich clan, eldest son situation but ya knoowww, i wouldnt mind some more well executed storiess)
overall i enjoyed it! i finished it in a couple of hours and was engaged through and through. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
look i may be biased because i liked kijima from series book 2 anyways but YO.
this couple is SUPERIOR overall the other two, ichikawa was not (underlined) annoying, his concerns and worries are the by-product of mineta/minata's harassment and trauma he experienced in kanazawa.
our boy kijima is a major flirt, almost (ALMOST) crossing several lines but didnt. sure he sucked and played with the couple in the prequel but the couple got swayed, they didnt talked and alot of micommunication happened between them (not gonna talk about the other couple rn since theyre jot part of this story)
what i loved the most is they communicatedddddd!!!!!!
a wonderful manga, deals alot with gender identity, familial expectations and sexual assault.
peyo sensei, or eguchi kousei died as of august 19 at the age of 23. i hope that his works will forever be eternalized and also hope that this and his other work gets more media attention since theyre very well done.
Was he sick?
i believe he was, however crunchyroll's article said that the staff didnt tell the cause of death. it just says that he died in the hospital after being rushed there.
Okay, thanks for your answer.
