Kill the Villainess
Honestly without context and before reading this kind of stories I tend to hate the “Cinderella” of these stories. Nobody put pressure on them since they’re nobody themselves. They do not experience the overwhelming pressure of trying hard and not being enough. It make me hate Helena even more, now that I see her behaviour. I can’t help but to think she’s purposely acting all sweet and “don’t realise” the amount of peoples at her feet. I’m usually extremely critical since now day even in series and movies antagonists are just here to be mean with no background history and no development, I often think to myself how cruel and aberrant to see other characters just releasing their stress on the “villain” because it’s a villain.
And by the way Helena isn’t even pretty she is just kind looking and innocent minded.
I also hate the crown prince, he never gave Erin a chance. She always have been betrothed to him and worked hard to be enough for him. He was never “worried” for her to be lost somewhere, to be hurt in anyway. Whatever happened he always ran to save Helena and instead of begging his dad, at least, to break the engagement, he kept torturing not only Eris but also the Red head and anybody involved in this story.
Edit (chapter 46) : I cry hypocrisy from Helena, she dare to act all kind and remind Erin that she is supposed to love the crown prince. Even a blind, deaf and mute person would be able to see this act, hear this bullshit and shout to the lie.
Edit ( re-reading) (chapter 25) :
Ow so sad for Helena she has a past… must be hard for her to have issues, and she’s so pretty that nobody wants to stay around her… poor girl she has the crown heir madly in love with her must be horrendously hard! Can’t imagine myself in her shoes ( pure irony)
