Yeah same. I mean people can obviously ship whoever they like, but a lot of people ruin the story for themselves by betting on the wrong horse. And get aggressive and try to ruin things for other readers when they realize they're not getting the ship they want. It would be nice if people could just drop the story if they can't accept the writers' story direction and preferences.
I know it's a dream but why do authors do this..? Like here and also the stupid fucking last chapter of Back to School. Make it a DJ/spinoff or some shit because it just adds an unnecessary sour note to the end of the story a lot of the time. I'm fully aware it's their story to do with as they please but sometimes it's just ugh, ya know?
