Bruhhh she is a kid. Sometimes manga and anime make us forget that kid are just kid. She is probably 4,5 because she lied about her age too. At that time I still playing with dirt outside the house, but not Anya, a 5 year old who know that she has to carried world peace in her shoulder. Her innocent actually shield her from that responsibility. I dare you... at four year old deal with all the shit she has been dealing and keep calm like she did.
Her youth maybe not give her intelligence but surely harmless. She never hurt anyone and even does amazing work with it like you know saving her father without knowing how to read a clock ?
The thing that make Spy X Family special is that Endo reverse the tired trope of: if someone being able to read mind, they have to be like you said, intelligent beyond intelligent. But don’t you tired of that trope ? So boring... and predictable. But what if the character learn that power, struggle with it, but then learn and become better ? A character who never goes thru struggle is a boring character. That is the story of Anya.
I write long because Anya is a complex character, more than you just describe her, and I think you not doing her justice by looking at her in that way. You have to boarden your view my friend and looking at it more than the surface level.

Please try to remember that she is just a kid. Yknow why I like this story? Its because it shows that even not-so-smart kids can also experience the spotlight. I don't have anything against smart kids having powers or whatnot, I just don't like how people forget that children can be just.... yknow... children.
Well I kinda get how you would expect her to be smart because most comics out there with kid main leads are usually smart but please don't forget that children aren't the same. Not all of us can be a great intellectual.
