I haven’t read this since January 2023 because it affected me so much. I found myself feeling genuinely terrible while reading it. This is the first time a story has made me this anxious at the thought of reading it again. Even after a couple of months. This may sound dramatic but I’m not in a good mental place and this shit is false hope after false hope. Great writing and art.. just depressing asf. I saw this on a list and thought I’d leave a comment to recount my experience. Literally the most depressing shit ever. No I don’t think I’m ever going to read it again but yes it’s written well. From what I remember. Don’t read if you’re trying to recover from depression, anxiety, or any other shit.
Damn this really sounds dramatic but from what I remember, after finishing it I told myself to seriously never read it again until I’m better.

I know everyone in the comments are enjoying the romance but this isn’t what I came for
I really hate this development. Just my opinion though. I don’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy it, it just isn’t for me anymore. I really saddened by this. :( I found myself getting dissatisfied at basically every chapter since they started going into the worlds.

I totally forgot about this but the “Spirit Guide” hasn’t been very present or helpful at all in the more recent chapters. He reluctantly helps Ian like twice and then fcks off only to reappear for a second to say some cryptic sht. Kind of weird but okay.
I thought he would be helpful because of his ghost abilities but he absolutely does not want to help Ian. It’s a bit confusing. ( 0_0) Can anyone explain? I don’t want to re-read.
I’m a bit confused by what is happening. I do understand he needs more struggles in his journey but this feels super sudden and his actions seem OOC? I don’t want to just watch him get mentally worse and everyone turning on him. Where did his confident cool attitude go? He’s suddenly going to be wrecked emotionally and physically?? This feels super off. I want to watch him struggle and improve his talents over time not him becoming hated and framed for stuff. Maybe I’m being whiny but it just feels weird. His personality isn’t like this.
A misplaced romance has ruined so many good stories for me.. I wish they could make stories with strong female side characters that aren’t love interests. A sudden pop up romance is usually just annoying and isn’t needed in the story. :/ (+women don’t need to always be a love interest, maybe let them be normal characters with actual personalities)
It’s come to the point where I dread the introduction of female characters.(which is sad) They’re only introduced to satisfy the sad lonely guys that imagine themselves as a reincarnated super badass that has several big breasted women fawning over them. I just want a quality story. A love interest isn’t always needed and sometimes it feels really out of place in the story. Most of the time it’s not the right time for the character/story.
There are of course stories that have good genuine romances but they are hard to come by. I’m often shocked when a female character is introduced and has a personality. I love it when the MC has a female teammate and there isn’t a chance for romance.
TLDR: please give female characters personalities (being in love with the mc doesn’t count) and give us a good build up to their love story if you are going to.(not just in the story like a flashback to their childhood but maybe a romance spanning 50+ chapters?)
I really hope romance isn’t a big thing in this story. It has ruined so many other good stories for me.. :(
