Unnecessary ??that was a driving point of the plot. they wouldn’t have got together if it wasn’t there . the whole point is how he was punishing himself though violent for hurting the person that he liked.
But even still it was barely resolved in the end

What I gathered from the spoilers I read was that the world they’re in right now (aka what mc thinks is “book world”) is actually the mc’s original reality. That he made the world he thinks is reality(where he thought he came from) because of trauma and what was happening to/around him.
But this latest chapter has ML saying he isn’t himself(the book character)..? So what’s true?

i'll try to simplify the best i could. So the book is the original timeline but both seme and uke died and uke created this illusion of happy world where there is no omegaverse. So in this happy world there is a book he read called Silence, which is actually the his real life in original timeline. Then the seme got into the uke illusion and he also read the book. Then uke basically regress back to the original timeline (during the auction) but the seme hasnt, still in uke illusion world. In recent chapter, the seme finally regress back to the original timeline.
