Sooo I’m just starting to read this and tbh I don’t like the emperor. He seems more like a short tempered prick than a charming character. But I’m only on chapter 3 so who knows if my opinion will change.

Right.. I also felt really conflicted by that because she even says many times that she is her and not Erin and even Erin tells her that she is her own person. I feel like although they don’t mean to, in a way they are invalidating her existence as herself..
And to take it a step further, the grandfather said she’s just an ingredient to bring erin back. Like wow...

It’s quite unfortunate that the fathers in these types of stories actually love their daughters dearly. But since their love wasn’t communicated clearly when their daughters were children, the daughters believe their fathers don’t love them. Uuugh all these misunderstandings!!!!!
