Haru does realize that if Neungso become King, especially with all the shitty ministers, racist axs rabbits, and his envious brother, he's gonna suffer so much from their politics, right? Since he's unfavored and only like 2 rabbits actually doesn't want him to suffer. "Hard worker" and "sweeter than anyone else he knows"(he doesn't really know anyone in the rabbit kingdom, just people inside of his sheltered circle btw)won't do shit in kingdom politics. You need to be ruthless and clearly, Neungso is traumatized and has had enough of that, which is why he doesn't want that responsibility and wants to live a peaceful life with Haru.
Haru saying "but you'll protect me right?"and practically forcing him to be king puts a bad taste in my mouth, because he sounds like a typical manipulator who expects Neungso to lay down his life for him without thinking about his partner's feelings. I understand it's irrationality because of habibi's condition and his characteristic naïvety, but I'm still pretty irritated with him. Let's say he does become king then Haru can be his 'wife' and habibi will be treated. Then what? More threats to his life, constant abhorence from people who clearly doesn't see him fit to be a ruler, typical emperor things that doesn't really fit Neungso, not to mention their possible child not being able to live a normal life. There's no 'happy ending' for Neungso this way, and by extension Haru. If this was a typical kingdom revenge BL with a lot of dogblood drama, where Neungso is more fierce then sure it's possible but the way this story is structured? Unless this has 2 more seasons, a genre shift, and shit ton more of character development, plot exposition, and explaination of the rabbit kingdom's politics, Neungso being king just doesn't fit well imo.
IM SO HAPPY AHHH I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
