I really don’t understand where this author is trying to go with this story anymore. I kind of think she’s suffering from the Nakamura Shungiku syndrome, where every single chapter follows a distinctive and repetitive format that doesn’t move the plot forward in any way. I also think the story has lost most of its direction in terms of plot, which makes reading it even more uninteresting. It’s kind of going for dark Harada tone while removing everything about a Harada manga that would make it engaging. It’s just a story about assholes being assholes in a world where boundaries and realism don’t exist, but with a frightening lack of self-awareness. I didn’t hate the story when it first started being published, but it’s been years since it started and it’s safe to say that the plot is basically non-existent at this point. Whenever we get a small hint of a storyline, it’s brutally taken away from us for the sake of introducing cheap sex and poorly-written “drama” that only exists because not a single character in this manga resembles a real human being. And no, I don’t think it’s “intentional” as there are many stories (like those by Harada) that show terrible people that are still believable despite their extensive flaws. There’s a difference between a personality flaw and a character flaw, and while I suppose the author is aiming for the former, it’s pretty evident that this story has fallen victim to the latter.

This was one of the cutest webtoons I’ve ever read. My heart is literally melting right now. I think it’s one of the few stories I’ve read where there wasn’t any angst or forced drama involved, which was very refreshing. The few bits of drama were all realistic and digestible, and the fact that the guys never doubted their relationship, their feelings, or each other made this so enjoyable. Also Isaac and Sebastian already having a past together made the whole developments of them reuniting extremely adorable (unlike stories like Sekaiichi where it’s just annoying). I can’t say for sure how many times I audibly squealed during this story but I assure you it was more times than I can count on two hands lol. I’ll definitely read this again and I’m so glad I decided to read it on Tapas. With a story like this one, the author deserves all the support and praise they can get!

It's very rare for BL stories to introduce a couple that will not end up together in the end, so this most likely suggests that Redhead and Uncle will reconcile and start dating for real. But I think it'd be super interesting and even realistic for the author to tackle a different narrative, one where the two do not end up together, but rather learn from this experience before moving on to date people whom they are more compatible with. Given that this is a BL story, the chances of this happening are very slim, but I'd love to see Redhead and Uncle sit down and talk this out properly like grownups, and realise that dating each other just isn't realistic before moving on while still being friends. It'd be bittersweet, but it would definitely make their arc more palatable and reasonable. Also the fact that these two are a side couple and not the main couple would allow this setup to work perfectly without ruining the story. On the other hand, seeing them reconcile would make this story fall into one of the many BL traps of "love surpasses everything" because, if we're being serious here, these two have no reason to date each other, and Uncle has a point. They're on completely different chapters of their respective lives, and so far we haven't seen them be compatible in any other way than "Redhead isn't used to being told off" and "Uncle is bored of being alone." Making them break up is the only way I can see these two fulfilling their character arcs properly. Again, I doubt that this is how their relationship will unfold, but I would love to see this author change things up a bit and step outside of the box with these two.

The series goes up to chapter 20 on mangago but Lezhin only has it until chapter 15. Is there another platform where it’s being uploaded? Just so we can support the author while also reading the latest updates and all.

The ending felt kind of anticlimactic if I'm being honest. It's a shame it's only 26 chapters, because I think the whole story would've had a lot more potential if it'd been a bit longer. I wouldn't say it felt rushed per se, but it did feel a bit fast-paced for the most part, which made some characters lack depth and whatnot. I enjoyed it overall, but it left me kind of unsatisfied and with expectations for more, which isn't great. Just wish it hadn't skimmed through the drama so quickly, and the fact that they never had a proper conversation about any of their pending issues (especially the cat stuff) made it feel a bit incomplete. I don't think it's a bad relationship, but I do think it would've benefitted from a bit more character development.
lol idk if it's just me but having a dude call their partner their bitch is such a fucking turn off lmao. It's also hilarious in a way but it's mostly just super cringey
