I’m pretty sure we can all agree that the translators are doing god’s work by giving us access to the chapters, but unfortunately the language barrier is becoming more apparent with each chapter. I can see a lot of people are confused with what’s happening, and I’ll admit some parts are kind of fuzzy for me as well, which is a shame because I’m guessing it’s all due to issues with the translation. It’s clear that the plot is getting really dense, and even if there are just a few mistranslations and misinterpretations every now and then, the confusion begins to pile up over time, and that’s probably why some of the things don’t make sense or don’t add up now. This is pretty unfortunate because the translators are doing their best and we have to acknowledge that, but I wish that there was a way of understanding the plot a bit better without disregarding the chapters that were already translated.
LOL the ending of season 1 killed me, like I literally laughed at the last panel. It seemed fake even, almost as if I was reading a parody or something. Was kind of expecting one of the characters to wake up and be like “wow that was a funky dream!” but I suppose not lol. I felt like I was reading a completely different story by that point tbh, and it kind of feels like all the character development and world-building that went into the first few chapters was for nothing. Talk about a rushed and incomplete ending lmao. I will say that I got kinda excited when I saw Alan turn all possessive and dominating, but it’s not like that lasted long anyways, which was unfortunate. I don’t get why it rushed through the conflict so quickly, since the author had done a great job with the pacing up until that point. Felt kinda out of place and confusing to see a complete 180° in terms of tone idk. Great start to a story (although kinda uneventful/boring at times), with an abysmal ending. How sad.
Won’t bother with season 2 since all the comments seem to say it wasn’t good, and after some skimming I can’t say I was drawn in by the story. Such a shame that those 40+ chapters decided to introduce a new narrative rather than complete the story that was already taking place.

The story is decent so far, but god this author has serious pacing issues. People keep talking about the lack of chemistry but all I can think of is how everything is progressed so terribly. It’s been improving a bit with each chapter but it’s still quite terrible lmao. I do enjoy the story though, and I’ll def continue buying it on Tapas, but sometimes I can’t help but laugh at how awfully paced everything is.
I'm literally crying. This was one of the most adorable stories I've read in a long time. While the lack of BDSM disappointed me a bit at the start (since I found it in the BDSM tag), I'm extremely happy with the story regardless. Really great pacing, no unnecessary drama, mutual consent and communication, and just everything in between. The sex was amazing, but not too over the top, which simply adds to the beauty of this story. I came looking for BDSM and left feeling really soft and happy inside. My heart, soul, and pores have been thoroughly cleansed by this story, and it's definitely one of my favourites by far.
I made a pretty long post about this a while back, but I was honestly hoping that the author would break them up. It’s nice to see a BL where the concept of not getting back together/breaking up indefinitely is touched upon, since most stories fall victim to many generic tropes where “love saves all” and the couples never face any hardship. I also mentioned that I don’t think Uncle and Redhead should date because they are actually in very different stages of their respective lives, and the fact that the author acknowledges this makes me have so much more respect for her. I’m sure that we will see them together soon, which (after some consideration) would be something I’m ok with. While I would be very interested in seeing them not get back together, which would give a very interesting perspective since it’s a very rare concept in BL stories, I wouldn’t hate seeing some development from both parties that realistically justified their reunion. I’m overall super happy with this and applaud the author for stepping outside of the box!
This is something I briefly expressed when the first chapter was released, but it’s still irking me. As a disclaimer, I don’t have an issue with the side story and the direction it’s taking, but the set up for it is non-existent as this fact has been bothering me a bit. My main frustration is that the lack of monogamy between MD and Chanwoo was never introduced or even mentioned in the original story. On the contrary, when the two started dating, Chanwoo specifically said that “you will do for now, old man” when responding to MD’s request to start their BDSM dynamic. That’s a clear indication that they were planning on being exclusive, and no, this can’t be misinterpreted in any way, because MD’s offer to be polygamous was rejected by Chanwoo in this scene as well. This in no way implies that they would be in an open dynamic, which the side story decided to refute out of nowhere. Even if the argument is made that maybe over time they became less exclusive, chapter 37 has MD getting visibly angry at Chanwoo for “sleeping around” and even going as far as (intensely) punishing him. The chapter then ends with Chanwoo telling MD that he enjoyed the degree of intensity in their play and that he wanted MD to “use and abuse him until he couldn’t sleep with anyone else.” Excuse me but wtf? How doesn’t this scream monogamy? What about MD getting angry at Chanwoo for suggesting he had tried “sounding” with other people in chapter 72? MD was super pissed, and his reaction to learning that Chanwoo had been active with other people showed no implication of them being non-exclusive. Again, I don’t have an issue with them being in an open and strictly work-related relationship, but it needs to be realistic and follow the original timeline, because otherwise your story becomes inaccurate, flawed, and full of plot-holes. I also just don’t feel that the actions of the characters are coinciding with their characteristics in the main story. MD is pretty much the same (except for the latest chapter), but Chanwoo has been completely rewritten and I don’t understand why. Going back to their relationship in the original BJ Alex, when was Chanwoo ever portrayed as someone afraid of commitment or romantically uninterested in MD? I understand that all we got to see of them in the original story was short special episodes of them, but in all of those chapters they were established as a completely different set of people than those being portrayed in the side story. This just bothers me tbh. No hate towards the author, and I will continue to buy the chapters on Lezhin, but I have to say I’m a bit disappointed with how the side story just “forgot” that it’s supposedly being based on pre-established characters that were unjustifiably changed for the sake of fitting this storyline.

Is it just me or did the art look a bit different in this chapter? Like it looked a bit more grainy, but in a good way, which made it seem hand-drawn. And the faces looked a bit different as well, like I don't think I've ever seen red-head's face be drawn that way. It's not a bad change, and I actually like it a lot, but it did stand out to me a bit. Although it could just be me.
lmao the “What’s up, Chief?” text in page 5 gives me such vivid and intense flashbacks to when I first read this story when I was like 10 and it messes with my head so much. Like I can’t tell what it is about that panel that triggers me but it just shoots me back to my early yaoi days in a weird way lol
