It is hard for me to explain in English, because I don't know the proper terminolgy. But when somebody talks, there are the speaker, the receiver, the language and the chanel. All these factors can change the meaning of the message from the speakers mind to the receivers mind.
When the speaker and the receiver know these facts, they can try to change something to avoid that problem to a minimal. But Inthink it is usually the speaker who should do the effort, if they see that they are misunderstood very often, because through the internet the receiver is totally blind to the speakers intentions.
But if the receiver realizes they feel too often that peolpe are being too rude, maybe they are not used to written conversation and they should try to adapt.
