Well.... its a pretty long story. I can tell you that i liked it. Sometimes the story dragged on a bit and the ending was a little dissapointing imo. The world building is great and i like desharow and agaras as a couple. But since the story is so vast you'll need to ask what you wanna know XD i dunno if you read the tags.

Its all one big confusion because the author is gonna add time travel to the story. But what i understood is that Agaras is the king of all mermaids. Like, hes the root of it all. Desharows 'grandpa' which was mentioned early one wasnt his grandpa, but his father. And his father was a mermaid so desharow is a half mermaid. Mermaid xmermaid dont get kids by havings seccs but by kidnapping humans and turning them into their spouse and that makes them turn into a mermaid.
