i think the concept is good but her reactions to really serious situations turns me off like please be serious for a second ?? her facial expressions and her shock at finding out horrible things seems comical rather than in tune with the actual emotion she should be portraying
imagine if it turns out you transmigrated in this situation and your main reaction is “i can’t believe i switched into this body” instead of having more sympathy to the poor kid who was abused?? or finding out the future fl was getting abused by her guardians and thinking “she’s so cute how could they do this to her”
the characters and their expressions are everything, their designs are just oozing sex appeal and chemistry!! plus the lovers to enemies to lovers trope is going to be so good here??
my only complaint is that the chapters should be longer, it feels like we go from one thing then right to the next without lingering on an important event
i hate when a fl is supposed to be super intelligent but doesn’t do anything to show for it. it’s like when an writer describes a characters looks in detail but it comes off cringe and unnatural. rather than saying she’s a master of memorization or extremely talented in research, id rather have us find out than be blatantly told she has these traits
also the lack of build up is concerning, she just doesn’t feel like a real person. but rather a caricature of what an interesting fl is supposed to be like
i was expecting a bit more from this story? im halfway done and wondered why i felt uncomfortable with the ml and it’s because he previously showed signs of an emotional abuser and it’s kinda brushed off. he admits it with how he tested mc and tried to “break” him in order to make him dependent in their friendship. and then now as adults, he disregards how he previously treated him and love bombs the shit out of mc
im hoping the story goes more into depth about him reflecting on his actions and being more honest to mc instead of playing mind games. the story so far is pretty mid… also hoping it gets better as i read

i read the comments before starting this, and it was when the recent chapter dropped. i got nervous about this story being bad because of the miscommunication complaints and stuff but tbh… even though it’s frustrating, it’s so well written and makes sense. the miscommunication isn’t because of something shallow and easily fixed, both characters have deep rooted flaws from their families that still pain them to this day which makes them act out these ways
woowon doesn’t know how to ask for help unless absolutely necessary, and tries to fix everything himself because that’s the only thing he can control about the situation. seo-an is overly controlling and possessive because his entire life was suffocating- it’s been strictly dictated by his family, and wants his partner to never be swayed by outside influence if he can help it. both characters take on each others burdens, unknowing of how it’s an expression of love rather than a betrayal. i also really enjoy how even though it has some cliche themes, it took a spin on the classic pretty poor bottom x sexy, huge rich asshole top!! more pretty tops PLEASE!!! get rid of chad looking-refrigerator built rapey tops!!!!

it’s painful how well this story showcases the affects of domestic abuse, grief, loneliness, and all. every chapter (especially concerning his family) feels like a punch in the gut, and by the end of this story we better see all these kids happy and in better places. narcissistic, abusive parents are the worst monsters to exist… their deflection, gaslighting, and overall lack of remorse towards their child is so realistic and they will rot in a burning hellscape sooner or later
