I mean, I don't agree since she seems pretty different from rashta, but I would argue that rashta isn't that bad of a person in general either? Like yeah, she's sort of the antagonist, but if we're going to blame people, it should be sovieshit, not rashta since all she really wanted was a decent life away from being a literal slave (who was probably raped) y'know?

Anyway, the MC herself doesn't really seem dark or spoilt?? I haven't really seen a moment when she was, but uh yeah. I guess if you just feel that way, I can't exactly tell you that she isn't but I just haven't really seen her interact with people other than the love interest, so it's a very narrow frame of reference to make a judgement off of and any of her friends/acquaintances, she's actually been quite polite to.

I think if anything, the similarity to rashta that you're picking up on is the desperation/worry?

Rashta is desperate to not become a slave again or be treated as lesse and Lucia is worried about being divorced since she loves the guy she's with. If anything, I think that's what you're picking up on, but I don't know if it is.

Have you read the entire Remarried Empress novel?

I haven't read the few (like three or two I guess) recent chapters I think, but I think it's vaguely far enough to be able to gauge rashta's personality?

I personally don't hate Rashta, because I don't think people who do hate her really understand what it's like to be desperate? especially when your entire life is on the line, and also Remarried Empress has classist notes that make me uncomfortable but idk, maybe I'm wrong.

Have you really read the novel? I'm shocked that you're really hating on Soveishu but not Trashta. Everyone's desperate to have better lives that's why people work. From the lowest position climbing up the highest step by step. I'm surprised you didn't note that Trashta never did proper things to be on top of everything like what she wanted. Sure, she get to be empress bc of Soveishu's "plan". But did you know that she went to Heinley and Navier's wedding just to plan and make Crista one of her puppets bc she doesn't want Navier to be happy? Did you know she hired a pro assassin to kill Lebetti ? (in case u forgot, she's Allen's sister, Rostechu's children), did you know that she also wanted Lebetti to be enslaved so she can know what it's like to be at the lowest? Did you know that she urged her adopted parents to kill their actual daughter bc she thought she's the newest concubine Soveishu brought in while in truth, that girl was a student sponsored by Navier in the Magic academy. Dude, no matter how much you hate a person, wishing or making them suffer the things you suffered is the lowest kind of thing. Also, to the thread maker of this, you feel like Lucia and Trashta are the same but as you read on...they're totally different. Lucia never wanted anyone around her to be unhappy. Trashta did. In case you'll bring out the "1st Taran Duchess", no Lucia didn't snatch Hue away. Hue was currently single in the timeline they met. He's not married like in her dream. Also, at the end of her dream, they still found each other even after marrying other people first. So dont compare Lucia and Trashta bc they are way different. But I dont blame you for thinking that they're kind of the same lol especially at the beginning, for wanting to live a good life. Have a nice day people.

No? I did not read the novel, I thought you were referring to the comic, but now I get why people hate her. I still think that the story has classist themes, but I guess I can understand why she's framed as the villain? I personally have had this "Rashta probably isn't as bad as people are making her out to be!" stance for a while now, but having all her flaws laid out was like a punch to the gut, although I'm thankful (?? I guess) for you actually taking the time out of your day to explain it to me.

Also, thank you for clearing that up (the entire thing about what rashta did and the differences between her and lucia), I think I should probably reread Remarried empress if all the things you mentioned were in the manhwa and I managed to forget them.

Yeah she doesn't have much going for her but at least she isn't annoying. She doesn't purposely put herself in harm's way and act stupid. But I can't see the added value of her existence except for "making the ML softer" or whatever . Is she even managing the household ?
Oh well, I'm honestly tolerating this because she isn't pissing me off as a character
