I really like how Haikyuu does right by volleyball. Even the rotation rule, which a lot of people don't really get, has been explained and shown how important it is to take advantage of it. Even something as "stupid" as rotating can make or break you.
I think that's one of the reason why people (including me) like haikyuu, this is one of the charming points. Furudate sensei really explains the volleyball aspects very well and even for a beginner like me, when I was reading haikyuu for the first time, I understand it right away.

in volleyball normal time-outs are 30 seconds long and technical time-outs are 60 seconds long. even between sets they usually only get a 3 minute break. volleyball doesn't give you a lot of time to rest unless you're subbed out, which is not something they'd want to do with kenma since he's their ace setter and they're at the national tournament.
